Theists often claim that the existence of religious scientists is reason to accept religion, particularly their religion.[edit]
Some examples would make this look a lot less straw-manny. Peace. AgingHippie (talk) 19:04, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- That list of creationist scientists comes to mind. 142․124․55․236 (talk) 19:34, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

- "Theists often claim that the existence of religious scientists is reason to accept religion, particularly their religion." No, it needs a theist actually making the claim! Just listing scientists isn't refuting the claim. Scream!! (talk) 20:19, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- Notice that article doesn't argue that the listed scientists refute the claim? Or that the article is an hour old? Herr FuzzyKatzenPotato (talk/stalk) 20:34, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

Compatability[edit]
It is possible to be both 'somewhat religious' and a scientist - they can view them as non-overlapping magisteria and eg 'the ethics I get from my faith means that I should work towards positive uses of science' or 'to do science and understand the universe is one way of having a dialogue with my Deity/ies.'Anna Livia (talk) 13:07, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
