2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Um[edit]

"There is a worldwide movement known as Sathya Sai Baba movement with approximately 6 and 100 million adherents." That's one helluva approximation. Anybody have a clue what this sentence is supposed to say? --PsyGremlinRunāt! 13:05, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Implying an error bar of 99.9999%? Scarlet A.pngmoral 13:08, 10 April 2011 (UTC)li
That is what the sources that I used in Wikipedia say. It is not so easy to say who is an adherent and not, because one person may have loyalities to several gurus. Official members of the organization, as opposed to adherents of the movement are quite few. Andries (talk)

Incense[edit]

One good thing might have come out of the Sai Baba cult, the incense sold under his name smells mighty nice. :D — Unsigned, by: 38.125.36.194 / talk / contribs (signed by bot) 19:46, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
