2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Protesters[edit]

This article is too condemning of protesters, whose actually destroyed other citizens businesses as well as the Santiago metro station (which, of course but out of reach for their minds, caused the metro system to offer a worse service after that). It makes it seem as Piñera is a bad guy ordering repression over peaceful protesters when they were destroying and looting fellow citizens means of living. — Unsigned, by: 181.239.182.4 / talk

"Chile has one of the best pension systems in the world"[edit]

How does this square with the criticisms of the pension system meted out by the protesters, which this edit seems incredibly dismissive of? According to the protesters themselves, the privatized pension system had "low and often delayed payouts." (Source) Carthage (talk) 02:01, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

That index, judging from the URL as it's a dead link, came out in 2021. The protests started in 2019. Piñera initiated some pension reforms as a response to the protests. I can't tell for myself what that report actually says, as it's a dead link. Carthage (talk) 02:09, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
