The Koch brothers actually DO fund right-wing think tanks like Reason and Cato Panopticon (talk) 01:14, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

And Soros actually DOES fund liberal organizations and causes. But regardless, most of the people expressing liberal ideas aren't "Soros shills" nor have any connection to his organizations. JJohannes (talk) 13:08, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
The point is such organizations do hire people with the assignment to dominate the debate in social networks. Therefore when some particular character appears to be ubiquitously found wherever a relevant debate takes place, chances are it's a hired character. (talk) 08:43, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

I propose a new drinking game rule.[edit]

If someone accuses us of being a shill, Drink!

Problem with religious examples[edit]

None of the examples given actually involve a Shill Gambit. They do include poisoning the well, but nothing about shills. -dougmc

Well that's... interesting.[edit]

I did a google search of "rationalwiki shills", and surprisingly, all that turns up is what is already in the "pissed at us" page. Curious, I did searches of "rational wiki is part of the Illuminati", and... nothing. I did a bunch of others with different grammatical changes (OCD sucks), and... nothing. at one point someone even linked to us to discredit a fellow Conspiracy Theorist (PPSIMMONS). I did the same on Youtube, and found the usual. Metabunk is a shill, random whistleblower propaganda, 2 hour long videos of BS, out of context speeches of celebrities "exposing" the illuminati, etc. And I never found ANY video calling us a shill. This is one of the most surprising things I've run into on Youtube, considering it's a haven for these idiots.--TemplarJLS (talk) 14:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Proof of Disonfo agents on YouTube[edit]

On the video I linked to, in the comments someone claims sandy hook isn't a hoax, and his family member loved near there. He goes into a long post making outrageous claims about himself, etc.

If you look on his Google + account, he does the EXACT SAME THING on each Conspiracy Theory video! He claims to be there, or have one or more family members and goes into long rants and constantly makes outrageous claims (that even you guys would scoff at)

So, why would a troll waste time doing that?-- (talk) 03:00, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

To get a rise out of people. Same reason trolls do anything. --Maxus (talk) 09:49, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
