Talk:Unabomber
Complete Story[edit]
Can this really be accurate if the document referenced was just skimmed through? Also I'm not sure they address the psychological parts that made up what he said. Machina (talk) 00:56, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Issue with sources in "Ignorance of history" section.[edit]
There are none. Not a single source backing up any of the arguments made or "facts" asserted. Clearly whoever wrote this section is the one positing this argument (else the lack of citation is even more egregious) and I have to say their work is sub par for its lacking of any sources to back up any of its claimed facts or logical reasoning.
Suggestion: Cite or delete.
Aside: Frankly the whole article could do with a greater volume of citation considering the wealth of information (reports, analyses etc.) regarding Kaczynski from all manner of perspectives. — Unsigned, by: 31.205.202.106 / talk / contribs
More on his background[edit]
I remember seeing that he was described as very awkward/maybe even combative to interact with, a horrible teacher (in the sense of communicating information well to students), etc... also, his minor participation in the MKULTRA program is of note. It's given rise to some conspiracy theories I believe. In his own words I recall that his only involvement was taking a personality test or something to that effect, yet people talk about it like the CIA caused the bombings. Of particular interest to me would be analyzing what particular events or preceding beliefs may have led him to take up the ideology that he did. Example, was he ever especially interested in environmentalism or anarchism? Bad personal experiences with leftists/liberals, thus the viciously anti-left current seen in his manifesto? Is Kaczynski an anarchist?[edit]
He has disparaged anarcho-primitivism in some of his writings. Not all militant primitivism is anarchist. I think Kaczynski is more of a Luddite, not really belonging to any particular tendency. A lot of hard green ideologies have taken influence from his writings. Carthage (talk) 04:34, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
War[edit]
You added unsourced and questionable content. There is actually plenty of reasons to be skeptical of the narrative you're shoveling out. How does your (unsourced) narrative account for these findings? Carthage (talk) 06:36, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
