Does he belong here?[edit]
I'm not convinced that this bloke merits his own page here. Shouldn't this just be a redirect to Bhagwan Sree Rajneesh? Being the first Arab-American governor isn't a reason to have an article here anymore than being the most famous boat in history or the highest mountain in the world. - Neither me, not convinced. Being the target of disgruntled Rajneeshis may not suffice for cromulent RationalWikiality. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 13:31, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- Boy, this one takes me back. I was a teen when this all happened and I served with a guy whose mom was at Rajneeshpuram. I enjoy the nostalgia but I don't think Atiyeh's notable enough in a mission-related way to warrant his own article. I also don't recall anything about the cult's plot being any more broadly targeted than just the US Attorney and the state AG. If there's a source that confirms they were planning an armed uprising it's certainly notable, but I think only to show how far spun the Bhagwan's followers had been. It belongs on his page if it can be verified. Godless11B's gonna die the way he lived. 07:45, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
After a sniff around the intytoobs I could find nothing verifying the coup/assassination stuff so I vaped the page without a merge. --MtDNotorious Sodomite 22:45, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
