Template talk:Elect
I propose that after the election (if it is held), we change this template to count down either the next administration, or some other upcoming political event elsewhere. We should engage in equal opportunity snark, I think. Example: "Only (electdays) left for Hillary to abuse the PATRIOT act!" "Only (edays) left for John Edwards to mandate universal hair cuts!" "Kucinich only has (edays) left to take your hard-earned money and give it to lazy poor people!" "Only (edays) left for Barack to sell out the U.S. to the terrorists!" Just a thought. human 15:28, 4 December 2007 (EST)
- I like it, but I think the next one should be outside of the US - a four year count down is a bit long. Australia has just been, France was not too long ago. Where is Canada on this? Germany?--Bobbing up 15:49, 4 December 2007 (EST)
- Yes, somewhere else indeed. The examples I just pulled outta my butt, so of course they wound up US-centric. Maybe the first "new version" would be a question, asking what the next countdown should be towards? human

Shouldn't it really be the number of days until the next inaugration? That's a bit more than the election. Researcher 00:27, 5 December 2007 (EST)
- I think someone made another template for that time period, but no one corrected the entries that should run until then. human

presdays vs. electdays[edit]
Try to be more subtle - some might still need to be electdays. human 23:48, 7 December 2007 (EST)
- Sorry 'bout that... just went through and changed en masse. Are there any specific ones which still need electdays? --Ζωροάστρης 02:55, 8 December 2007 (EST)
Revert?[edit]
why? --CPAdmin1 00:44, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
- Crappy edit, this is our wiki, not yours? (or are you one of us? hmmmm?) It got worked through some changes, and I think it is still there, reworded. We don't refer to ourselves as "this wiki", for starters, dumbass. That's "outsider" speak, and you aren't one anymore, are you. Are you? human

Update[edit]
If anyone wants to update this for Obama... otherwise, it's rather pointless... Blue (is useful) 04:15, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
