For Yanks and others[edit]
From Wikipedia: Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War One. It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries. Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue, and Tonga.
Where's the Polish flag?[edit]
Where's the Polish flag on the Holydaze template? See Blatant Misrepresentation of history, "After the Second World War, Australian government had extended invitation to settle in Australia to thousands of Polish ex-servicemen who served under British Command and could not go home to Soviet occupied Poland....Red Army veterans now marching in Sydney and posing as defenders of freedom and democracy while they brought oppression and subjugation is hypocritical and sheer falsification of history". nobsCorporations are people, too. 20:09, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- What does this have to do with ANZAC?--il'Dictator Mikal 20:17, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Nothing, he's just trolling again. Sophiebecause liberals 20:20, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- It's just another slap in the face of Poles by Commonwealth imperialists after Britain, which went to war to free Poland, dumped the Poles in Australia. Now Australia celebrates Anzac day by inviting the Pole's oppressors, the Red Army, to participate. The Poles wouldn't have migrated to Australia if it wasn't for this same Red Army that chased them out, exterminated their Officers, and killed or enslaved their families left behind. nobsCorporations are people, too. 20:42, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- What's that got to do with the price of fish?

- Rob, you're a fucking idiot. Anzac day is a celebration of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Originally in recognition of the soldiers who fought in Gallipoli (WW1) against the Ottoman Empire, Austro-Hungry and Germany. The Poles were not involved in this conflict and ANZAC days has morphed in recognition of all those who have died in battle. AceModerator 20:55, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- in fact, as it was the Gallipoli and WW1 not only were the poles not involved but there was no red army either. Rob Smith = completely and utterly pwned again due to a complete inability to read or form thoughts in the dull watermelon atop his neck. AceModerator 20:59, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- As in the Mel Gibson movie? Ok. But why the fuck then are they inviting Red Army Communist oppressors from World War II to march in the Anzac parade and spit in the eyes of Poles? nobsCorporations are people, too. 21:03, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- As in the Mel Gibson movie? No, as in WW1 you fucking moron. What are you talking about? What March? AceModerator 21:05, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- The same reason the Russians had the capitalist pig americans have some troops march in their victory parade. --il'Dictator Mikal 21:08, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yah? Whose families did the capitalist pig Americans enslave or exterminate from Soviet territory?

- And this has what to do with ANZAC day and the polish? AceModerator 21:36, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Why are Red Army veterans invited to march in Sydney's ANZAC Day Parade? Them, and their display of the hammer and sickle, is as offensive as inviting SS veterans to march wearing the swastika. And neither is a defender of freedom & democracy, as the Sydney Anzac Day Parade organizers are trying to foist off on a naive and deceived public. nobsCorporations are people, too. 21:43, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- A) ANZAC day is a celebration of Aus and NZ soldiers originating from the WW1 campaign in Gallipoli (nothing to do with the poles) B) It has now morphed in to a celebration of all NZ and Aus forces who have died in battle (nothing to do with the poles) C) Some guy posts some photos he says are of the red army in the ANZAC parade in Sydney (nothing to do with the poles) D) This causes Rob Smith to wonder why the polish flag isn't displayed along with the NZ and AUS flags on RW. Yeah....You're an idiot Smith. AceModerator 21:48, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

A) Agreed. B) Agreed. C) Bull. Celebrating Red Army veterans in Sydney's Anzac Day Parade is highly offensive to Poles. D) It's just another example of British imperialism and colonialists insensitivity and ignorance, promoting their own self importance, and offending the sensibilities of the people they've used and betrayed. E) The USSR was Hitler's ally when Britain entered the WWII to save Poland. F) You're a sorry, communist-brainwashed stooge. nobsCorporations are people, too. 22:03, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Celebrating Red Army veterans in Sydney's Anzac Day Parade is highly offensive to Poles. So? Is it called Polish Fighters Day? No, it is ANZAC day. Nothing to do with the Poles which is why the Polish flag is not displayed. Idiot. P.S. I am a capitalist, not a communist. AceModerator 22:37, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok. So the Aussie organizers wish to honor Soviet Communism in their Anzac Day Parade. Are you familiar with the wp:Prague Declaration on European Conscience and Communism? nobsCorporations are people, too. 23:01, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- What the fuck are you asking me for? I am a NZ. What does this have to do with the Polish flag being displayed on the RW template? AceModerator 23:02, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok. So you're cool with celebrating Soviet Communism. The government of New Zealand's website [1] says of Anzac Day, "more than any other day" people "acknowledge the sacrifice of all those who have died in warfare, and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served", and "share a genuine sorrow at the loss of so many lives in war, and a real respect for those who have endured warfare ", which of course listening to you means honoring the Red Army, and fuck the Poles. nobsCorporations are people, too. 23:15, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- ANZAC = Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. What do the Polish have to do with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps? Nothing. Where have I mentioned honoring the Red Army? Nowhere. Where was the parade photographed? Sydney. Where I do I live? NZ. What is Rob Smith? Fucking moron. Next question because this conversation, once again has Rob Pwned all over it. AceModerator 23:19, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- There's 343 of your compatriots buried along 1000 Poles at the wp:Polish cemetery at Monte Cassino. Let's show some respect. nobsCorporations are people, too. 00:18, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
