Conservapedia style blocking
Not to prod into something that really isn't my business, but I don't think blocking a new guy just because he's inserting stuff you don't think belongs is in good taste.
The guy was basically going to start a wheel war despite me taking something off and cutting it to the talk page for discussion - you know, as we're supposed to do. To my current knowledge there still hasn't been a response on the talk page section that I brought up. Whining about "conservapedia style" blocking is not going to get sympathy from me, and as we can see, quite the opposite.
Not that the specific issue matters any more as I fixed the problems I had with it myself.
I am not a vandal and never intended to vandalise, the links I added showed up how silly Christians can be. I drew attention to material we need to refute.
And on the talk page I mentioned it was cryptically written and didn't really explain what it was about at all. It added nothing to what is a highly rated article. If you want to draw attention to material, putting it in a highly rated article isn't the place to do it.
You really should stop blocking people for edit warring, though. Especially when they're only edit warring with one person (you) and they don't have the ability to unblock themselves (me). Every time someone disagrees with you you pretty much censor them. That's real crappy of you.
Besides, what the fuck do you mean "stop blocking" as if I do it constantly.
This incident really got to me. The mob in question was just you and P-Foster.
I wasn't saying that I was gonna take you to the Chicken Coop or accusing you making a malicious block, I was just stating that, since God is Lord is (at least technically) a N00B, perhaps a more kid-gloves approach could've been used. I've found in my time here that, when it comes to newbies trying to make legitimate contributions, if I find myself engaged in an edit-war with them, I try to use their talkpage first, since they get that handy orange box that tells them there's a communication to them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be confrontational here or come like "I know more than you do!", it's just that approaches like the one I mentioned have always seemed to work better for edit-wars with n00bs that I've had in the past and so that I didn't have to resort to the more extreme measures, such as blocking, to get their attention.
