A challenge[edit]
Without saying "Because the Bible says so" please state what proof and evidence you have that Christianity is accurate and correct. --PsyGremlinSnakk! 12:07, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- And also provide scientifically-backed proof that evolution is wrong. The Noisy Orchestra Oi! Oi! Oi! 12:09, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
I can't start to answer your challenge unless you let me edit more than once every half hour. God is Lord (talk) 12:24, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- God is Loud, yes you can; just do it off line. ГенгисRationalWiki GOLD member 12:26, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- To that end, you've broken our trust already by spamming your screed all over the mainspace. But look at the bright side: you have an half hour to think up thoughtful, thorough answers to our questions. The Noisy Orchestra Oi! Oi! Oi! 12:28, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm vaguely interested to see which particular PRATTs you come up with. I promise to convert to any religion of your choice if you come up with an argument that is new, any argument that I haven't seen and seen defeated. If you take the time to have a look around you'll see how and where we've covered ad nauseam most of the things you're proposing. Have fun. Bad Faith (talk) 13:45, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- And, here we are, 48 hours later and your total response is... a whole lot of nothing. You have nothing to add except the same old arguments, the same old inanity, and a reference to a hate piece which is laughable in its stupidity and ignorance. We here have no problem with engaging in debate with those who want to but you've got to do better than you have so far or all you demonstrate is your own ignorance. Oh, and we're not "scared", really we're not. Bad Faith (talk) 13:21, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

- That an intentional shock'o'god reference? ADK...I'll deport your road! 13:23, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed. I'm also not surprised at the silence - it's typical fundie bluster "I can refute atheism! Gid is real! You WILL convert!" Us: 'Ok, then, show us." Result = deafening silence. Clearly a debater from the Ken Demyer School. --PsyGremlinTala! 13:26, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Think he's just spamming links to what's probably his book. Obviously got nothing more to offer than that, though it would be nice if he tried to come up with at least some sort of argument.--BobSpring is sprung! 13:55, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Ooh! Ooh! Another link![edit]
That's it everybody. I have seen the light! Because another stupid wonderful link has been added I'm leaving my brain behind and rushing down to donate my worldly goods to the church. Bad Faith (talk) 13:11, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- It's the old argument from beauty. Gosh, look at all those pretty babies! Funny how they never show babies dying of any of the hideous and disfiguring diseases or are they not part of gOD's plan? Nothing new to see here, move along. Bad Faith (talk) 13:20, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- This is wonderful. User posts links saying how to easily defeat atheist arguments but isn't actually able to demonstrate their use.--BobSpring is sprung! 16:06, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

- So god made a cross shape at teh begging of the universe, before he knew his "son" would be killed on a cross, AND against much evidence that jesus would have in fact, been killed on a stake, not a cross. yeah.......... that's called MAN. the moon is a crescent, 1/4 of the time. does that make us Muslim 1/4 of the time? --GodotTue pour toujours, et tu veux vivre aussi. 14:34, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- Um, also I thought God was the one doing all the creating. When did Jesus stage a coup? Or is this one of those weird "Jewish space zombie who's also his own dad" moments? Not to mention that is Jesus had been killed for blasphemy, like the Bible says, he would have been stoned to death. Oops. Here's a thought - you want me to believe, stick a 100 foot cross on my lawn. Don't hide it in some tiny creature. Seriously, we're talking a spook who has a hissy fit if we don't all love him, but the only sign of existence he hides in a single-cell organism. Doesn't think, your god, does he? --PsyGremlinRunāt! 14:38, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, he thinks. he's just reactive and tantrum throwing like a 3 year old. I mean, hello, you create a beign, knowing you have created it imperfect, then punish it for YOUR MISTAKE in creating it imperfect. Hey! Wow! We were just talking about this the other day .... here it is ..Argumentum ad martyrdom. And look .. our new user is kind enough to demonstrate it on our very site: "Blessed Are Ye, When Men Shall Hate You Rejoice Ye in That Day, and Leap for Joy" I propose a special award.--BobSpring is sprung! 16:04, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Greetings...Poe?[edit]
Greetings. I welcome all who decide to join RW, and I make friends of faith and faithless. However, off the bat, I get the sense that this user may we be a poe. The profile basically reflects the townhall.com page (which I happened to come across just over a week ago) and I'm sure anyone who accepts the Laminin argument is just screwing with others. Of course, I admit I may be mistaken on this. The style and structure seems to be a reflection of Giles article, so I get the impression it is likely someone is trying to mimic him. Unfortunately for Doug Giles, RW already provides a refutation of D'Souza's What's So Great About Christianity (which you can read for yourself) so basically Giles egocentric argument against atheism just fell face forward. Granted the article is not complete (book reviews here on RW tend to take a while). But I must give my thanks to "God is Lord" for he brought to my another book that will make a great addition to the RationalWiki Library: the Politically Incorrect Guide to the Bible. I am sure it will be a good read, and viewers would love to see a walkthrough of it on RW. Although I am currently focusing on my studies, I will try to find the time to begin an article on this book. So again, welcome God is Lord, whether you are the real deal or not, does not really bother me. I am always open to a rational discussion, but I do not wish to ignite a debate between the two of us (because I get the strong feeling it will all boil down to things refuted a thousand times). Whether you wish to engage me is completely up to you, I see you already have challenges being brought forth already. In conclusion, have a nice day. Cheers.
