2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I don't think it is up to you to decide what other people have or have not on their own talkpages and I would leave that to user. You know RW has very few actual written rules.

ok; i can accept that reasoning. sorry for the bot revert.

That is my interpretation anyway.

Reasonable one

We actually do have very specific written rules on this point, hammered out during our massive brawls; posts are not to be altered or removed from talk-pages, with the following exceptions: (1) posts from blocked users, (2) obviously vile trolling comments, and (3) personal attacks posted on a user's talk-page, if removed by that user.

Then it isn't Mikalos's job to trolltop/bottom Brx's talkpage.

AceModerator04:43, 9 May 2012

is trolltop/bottom considered removing?

il'Dictator Mikal04:46, 9 May 2012

It is mentioned on the Community Standards page as one of two ways to conceal "obviously vile" trolling comments.
