Meh, I was sort of a glibertarian Reasonoid for a few years, until I realized how infected the movement was with anti-science/anti-environmentalism.
I was an arrogant narcissist convinced that everybody was dumber than me. My outlook on policy was mostly the same as it is now, but the attitude was really really bad. I thank learning about Foucault in speech and debate for easing me out of being a pastoral power wannabe. Now, I'm twenty and I try to be mellow and humble. Note that I said try to be, and not am.

At 17, I learned the truth. That life was made for Beauty queens. And those other girls. the ones with clear skinned smiles. that married young. then retired.
Seriously, at 17 I had just started college, was 100% into my oceanography, and didn't know a thing about politics or care. I think I *might* have known who the president was - maybe. ah, youth...
