"Fear 17 year old me."

Hell, 27-year-old-me was a raging libertarian d-bag conservative. Now I have to look to my right to see Dennis Kucinich. Personal and political evolution is a great thing.

I owe this site a lot.

Meh, I was sort of a glibertarian Reasonoid for a few years, until I realized how infected the movement was with anti-science/anti-environmentalism.

I was an arrogant narcissist convinced that everybody was dumber than me. My outlook on policy was mostly the same as it is now, but the attitude was really really bad. I thank learning about Foucault in speech and debate for easing me out of being a pastoral power wannabe. Now, I'm twenty and I try to be mellow and humble. Note that I said try to be, and not am.

I used to believe the moon landing and 9/11 conspiracy theories. Face.gif

I used to be an atheist materialist.

I used to do drugs. I still do drugs, but I used to do drugs also. (1000 bonus points for whomever guess that quote)

I couldn't get that without Google, unfortunately. I don't understand why people take these mind altering drugs into their body! *quaffs pint*.

At 17, I learned the truth. That life was made for Beauty queens. And those other girls. the ones with clear skinned smiles. that married young. then retired.

Seriously, at 17 I had just started college, was 100% into my oceanography, and didn't know a thing about politics or care. I think I *might* have known who the president was - maybe. ah, youth...

When I was 17, I drank some very good beer. I drank some very good I purchased with a fake ID. My name was Brian Macgee. I stayed up listening to Queen. When I was 17.
