some of dinners variety (why its a stable time group unlike breakfasts "whenever i wake up, so anywhere from 6 to 11") comes from the fact I don't make my dinner normally.
I'm actually incredibly hidebound. When I go to restaurants I order the same things every time unless pressured by others into getting something different. I sat in the same desk every day in college, wear the same dress shirt, etc.
i eat the same food at places more because i know i like them and they cost money, so getting something i end up not liking would be money wasted; and i tend to sit in the same seat because invariably, so do others; though when i had a separate class (world Civ II) in my world civ I room, i ended up sitting in the same seat because what the hell, why not.
Sigh. When I was growing up I had my assigned towel. This ended after a few years, but I still almost always used that towel because... that was the towel I was supposed to use. You didn't deviate. You just did what you were supposed to do because initiative was de facto punished. In secondary school, my mom packed my lunch. When I packed my own lunch once in high school, she flipped out, and I did not do it again for years. I have immense problems purchasing anything that isn't food, to the point that in my early days of working and having my own money I had to bring a friend to the gaming store because I'd just stand there holding the book/model/whatever locked in a mental loop as to whether or not I should buy this and if there would be any repercussions to this obvious waste of money. It isn't as bad anymore, but I still have difficulty shopping alone.
that sounds... well, lots of things. Also; "Assigned towel" O.o atleast youd know which was yours and would be prepared
Yeah. In middle school at break I would literally just stand there or pace back and forth as I had idea what to do in that situation.
