User:Microsoft for POTUS
I'm much more active over on Uncyclopedia, under the same username. However, I hope to be a bit active here too.
So many people say that RationalWiki (and many other sources) are biased and shouldn't be cited. Yes, they're biased, so? Everyone is. We are not going to be having arguments if we are not biased. Attack the argument - not the author or the publisher.
That being said, I would like to have more conservatives on RationalWiki. Not because I agree with them, but because diversity of opinions is a good thing for a site that intends to study pseudoscience and crank ideals.
Free speech is dangerous, but should still be protected. That being said, politics is violence. Think about it. Peacefully legalizing and protecting Guantanamo Bay is still torture, though done through proxy. Writing a law that will enable torture is still torture. So, no, I do not condemn those who (sometimes illegally) disrupt the speech of those protecting and encouraging human rights violations. I do, though, find it impossible to define hate speech in law.
Altruism is the product of evolution (RationalWiki described this well on Social Darwinism and Altruism). That is what makes it "meaningful". What does evolution mean? Nothing. But there is no point in dismantling a core feature of evolution just because you feel like it. It would kill us all off quicker for no good reason. It's an insane, irrational, and sociopathic act to want to destroy your species and destroy evolution just for the hell of it.
