Coyne vs. Dupre
- Well done, thanks very much for this I have just spent ages reading through that post and all the comments. What is your opinion on the matter?DinoCrisis (talk) 19:00, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok, after a bit back and forth I realized I had to tone down her entry at A Scientific Dissent from Darwinism. Yes, she has a serious research background, though her GMO stuff is pure denialist crankery (and does put her signature to this list in a particular light). She is also a recognized authority over at whale.to, which is guilt by association (but what association!). The main reason for toning it down, however, was something I noticed on the RethinkingAids list: the RethinkingAids people, in accordance with their nature as lunatic denialist cranks, did an Inhofe! When their list was originally launched it was a petition with signatures. It has now quietly morphed into a list of people RethinkingAids think "promote a rethinking of the HIV AIDS connection" (not an accurate quote; I couldn't bother to go back and check). Since I don't know if Mae-Wan Ho was on the original list, and hence a signatory, I am thus very much less sure to what extent the fact that she occurs on that list can be used against her. G.D. - Got a lot of college work to do, this website is a distraction! I could come back next year and create some more articles on evolution but I am not sure about that, I will leave that open. I think I have wasted far too much of my time on this subject, but I think it is useful especially as many dishonest YECS need to be debunked. DinoCrisis (talk) 03:06, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
I added to the article to try and capture your comments on the talk page. Sorry if my initial reply seemed a little touchy. This stuff is personal for some of us. Let me know what you think. I love your work on evolution, by the way. 'Jonee chit chat 04:52, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
