Welcome, Niandra! Good to see you over here! Airdish 11:02, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

- Here and here should explain the reasoning. You are encouraged to join in any discussions, we'd like to hear your point of view and there'll be no shouting-down happening. Airdish 11:09, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
- Clarity, truth, justice and ... something. Personally, I like the idea of being a good source of refutation to the more dogmatic elements of faith and authoritarianism found on Conservapedia, but it is what we make of it. Flippin-shhh 11:10, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
- Ok then. JustineA 11:12, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

- But basically, it's whatever we (that includes you) make it. I am hoping for a space for rational discussion about ideas rather than personalities, and to debunk certain fallacies, conspiracy theories, etc. Some of these intersect with religion, and, where they do, I hope to present ideas in a way that shows how and why I disagree, without being inherently insulting.--PalMD-Talk 11:54, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
- Can we still make fun of User:DocSock? I can't stand that guy. --Kels 10:38, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
Welcome and good to see the CPers pouring in. Helios-speak to me! 23:42, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

Nice to see you back here. It's been a while. --Horace 01:30, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
- I second the "Hi". (don't ask me *shrug*) -Ĭ₠ŴΣĐĝё 01:32, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
- Oh, Niandra, you're Australian aren't you? You should feel free to copy my Australian userbox if you like. --Horace 01:43, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
- Hello Icy, hello Horace. JustineA 05:19, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
- Greetings as well. I like the 5+ edits to rationalwiki userbox - good to have a 20% uncertainty :-). What happened to the nifty sig, by the way? --ויִכִּ נתֶּרֶפּרֶתֵּר שְׁלֹום!

Leave you a message?[edit]
Hey Niandra. Did you mean for your "please leave me a new message" link to point to your Conservapedia talk page? Many (most, I think) of us here can't leave you messages there, since we've been blocked for one reason or another (or none at all). --jtltalk 23:34, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
- Unless Justine is urging us to wear socks to talk to her over there?~~ C®acker 23:38, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
- It was the plan, but I'll change it since it's pretty much useless redirecting to CP. JustineA 23:54, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
Abortion[edit]
I'm making an effort to change it into a real article with each side presented succinctly.--PalMD-yada yada 06:19, 10 June 2007 (CDT)
History of the earth[edit]
It may be too fine a distinction for CPers who tend to lump everyone in the same basket (especially YECs). But geologists are not evolutionists per se. Evolution is a biological concept. My understanding of the history of the earth is independent of evolution. Of course, the theory of evolution explains a lot of what we find in the fossil record but if all those creatures were deposited by alien spacecraft then it wouldn't change the geological record one little bit. - Both of these concepts rely on the discovery of "deep time" by geologists, see SJ Gould, Times Arrow".--PalMD-yada yada 10:25, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
