How to sandbox[edit]
You can make a sandbox in your own user space by editing User:Pere Ubu/sandbox. Another way to go would be User:Pere Ubu/Paul Yanick. In the latter instance, an edit comment including something along the lines of "new sandbox page" would be good wiki etiquette, but not strictly necessary, since your user space is pretty much yours to do with as you like. - Much thanks! I'm new at this "create a damn article" thing, as you can tell. ;) --Pere Ubu (talk) 18:20, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
Useful Quotes[edit]
"In a monolithic state - and that's what Russia has been for centuries, under czars and commissars both - people never get used to influencing their government, and they don't miss it. But a democracy is different. Each of us has got to feel that we can influence events, no matter how slight the influence. When people start believing they can't they get frustrated, and angry. They feel helpless and they start going to extremes. [. . .] The trouble is that democracy works only when a good majority of citizens are willing to give thought and time and effort to their government." --President Jordan Lyman, Seven Days In May, by Fletcher Knebel & Charles W. Bailey II --Pere Ubu (talk) 23:02, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- DAMN, was that quote prophetic or what? "they get frustrated, and angry. They feel helpless and they start going to extremes" - you've got the entire 2016 GOP campaign in that sentence. 19:38, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
