A dwarf planet, as defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), is a celestial body orbiting its star that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity but has not cleared its neighboring region of planetesimals and is not a satellite. Because the Earth has a trojan called 2010 TK7, it has not cleared its orbit, so Earth is also a dwarf planet by the IAU definition.
