- Hey TK and Karajou, PJR's callin' you out! See here and here. Update: TK fires back, hilarity ensues.
- Really, anything at all can be an article at Conservapedia. 'Homosexuality and Driving will probably be created soon.
- Realizing that his Ides of March ran out of... well... March, Conservative calls forth the D-Day and brags with pageviews yet to come. Ohboy. At least this PSA has a silly image.
- WHAT THE FUCK? TK starts ratcheting up the paranoia again. It's good to have him back over there; makes our job as humorists easier.
- An old addition by Assfly. Quite a stretch to compare the articles and say the NYTs is "downplaying the difference and pretending that no one knows why". Selective (and "insertive") reading are his specialty.
- TK censors himself probably hoping being nice will fasttrack him back to sysopship.
- TK's turned his nonsensical hatred back to liberals. We should see him re-sysopped/siteadmin-ed in no time. Update: Fox, you bore me. TK's latest campaign of sysop alienation kicks off with PJR.
- Yes, Andy really is that out of date. But what do you want of someone who considers things that happened almost 60 years ago as "modern"?
- Ed suggests to Hsmom that she should add a reference to the feminism page supporting her position, when the day before he locked it.
- Months of work went into the ID workspace draft... and on the day of the big revelation, Conservative fucks up the move and simply posts it as an edit to the existing ID article while destroying the workspace. The result? The new ID article is now Ken's contrib, and Freedom777 is a sysop with 30 edits - none of which show anymore why he was promoted. Also, they buggered up the Talk page for the article, which is in a redirection loop to itself. Top marks all 'round!
- Andy pushes forward with the alleged link between abortion and breast cancer, Godwin's Law be damned! Bonus: To prove his point, Andy cites himself citing himself.
- If this is a "no lying zone", why are you posting there, Ed?
- Hi Andy, I'm a serious contributor to the site, and probably am #1 in keeping it somewhat, quasi-respectable, and while I don't kiss your ass like the other "night editors," I am a great guy. Could I ever get night edit rights? No HelpJazz; you probably can't. As the MexMax experience showed everyone, you don't get those unless and until you pretend to be exactly like Andy in every way. Stay tuned as Conservapedia repels another vitally important contributor. Update: Oh noes! Wikipedia-style voting rears its ugly head on CP, and on Andy's own talk page, no less! How will Andy respond?
- Sometimes, good ol' quotemining Lulz is just what you need: Andy's cite about "modern feminists" wearing pants instead of dresses silently omits that the quote is about what was going on IN THE SEVENTIES. Update: Andy: "The 1970s is 'modern'." More Update: Andy: "1949 [...] is surely 'modern' also."
- Yay, it's Paper Castle time again! Defending yourself against Conservative's implied socking accusations and pointing out how Ken openly edited articles just to provoke RW = "rant bordering on attack" Update: FINAL WARNING! Damn, TheGySom can really feel the love tonight. Why don't they simply say what they mean? "We don't want you to improve CP! Go away! Work somewhere else for free!" Update again: Ed scolds TheGySom! Apparently it's TGS's fault that Ed forgot about Bethany's sysop status and that Ken posted copyrighted links and openly provoked us!
- This one broke my Irony Meter (again): First, Fox mocked Andy and Ed's "Liberal [noun]" articles by creating more "Liberal [noun]" articles (and got de-sysop'd for it)... and now, Ed apparently mocks Bethany's obsession with fictional words. Update: Yep, he mocked Bethany - eight minutes after creating it, Ed moves the article.
- Dear me Ed, for someone who has spent years editing wikis you seem to have a bit of trouble reading a small paragraph
- I know/hope this isn't what Bohdan means, but damn, Joaquín Martínez is being called a troll fairly often recently...
- And the Eye of
SauronTK continues to sweep over the land until it focuses on... CPAdmin1 Update: Allies - TK has them. - It's offical. Lyin' Ed knows who his master is. Did you ask "how high", Ed? Update: Block was apparently/allegedly not for Feminism? See below.
- sigh* Apparently, merging articles is now so hard that a sysop needs to verify its success before redirecting the source articles to the merged one. Update: TheGySom points out that the merge had been authorized already... and gets a 1-day block for pissing off Ed. But then... salvation! Ed "didn't know 'BCS' was admin Bethany"!
- Is he a professor? Not Dawkins this time, but Obama. The debate starts here. Will Andy continue to claim otherwise?
- Well, this pretty much seals the "owned articles" deal. Paws off!
- According to Andy, liberal materialists apparently deny the existence of intelligence, ideas, opportunity costs and radiation.
- Andy about Obama: "Obama has zero military or executive experience, and his foreign policy experience is in the lowest 10% of senators. Has he made a trip to Western Europe yet???" Well, yeah, there was London for example... as the article says. Andy: "If that courtesy call is what you're hanging your hat on, then it merely underscores Obama's lack of experience." F*cked if you do, f*cked if you don't...
- Time for the mandatory "Ides of March" update, this time with a slightly disturbing "My tanks are approaching your houses" flavor. You okay, Conservative? Update (Well, actually a "pre-date"): Breaking News - apparently, the ID article (which got Freedom777 his sysopship) will soon be moved to mainspace (and instantly protected against any outside influence). Also: In 30 days or so, some unnamed site will link to the Atheism article, thanks to Ken's negotiating skills! Proof that CP is a complete success! Update: Both the image and the shout-out were deleted - but at least the shout-out got preserved! ;)
- Barikada snaps and fully speaks out before going down in a blaze of glory.
- "Conservapedia is not Wikipedia, so please follow this Wikipedia guideline that does not exist on Conservapedia."
- Being sysop means that you can do senseless things and that nobody can change them. Case in point: Ed creates a redirect to a non-existent article. After more than a week, Barikada fixes things... and is reverted by Joaquín. Reason: "It's Ed's idea, so please talk to him before fixing things he broke." And so he does.
- Ed really, really hates liberals. Two more recent cases: "Liberals and academia" (not to be confused with "Liberals and Academia" a.k.a. "Professor values") and "Liberals and reason" Update: Aziraphale brings up the possibility of an April Fool's joke. While that would be nice (in a way), we were disappointed last year already: Andy did not announce that CP is a parody site. :(
- From pariah to trusted editor! Meritocracy inaction!
- PJR gets picky about definitions of similarity between elephants and sea cows.
- Critical Thinking in Mathematics, Chapter 2: "Sample Size" — "Your last ten contributions have been all talk" = "90% of your contribs are talk, so start working before I ban you, slave!"
- This has been posted before, but how many times will Bethany edit this article before she actually makes it readable. PS Did you know Eragon was the first book?
- The Assfly & scant evidence: a case study. One NY Times article is all it took for Andy to believe that the International Court of Justice had been renamed the "World Court." Did he think to check their website? Nah. Did the term simply tickle his prejudices and was therefore the TruthTM? Perhaps. TheGySom's common sense correction now qualifies as an "astute observation!" Insight! Greatly improved!!1!
- Filed under "Reliable Sources": Ed Poor cites Brian Macdonald - which, by cosmic coincidence, also happens to be the name of a certain Navy veteran who also edits on CP... Update: Karajou (CP's resident Navy veteran - what a co-inky-dink!) is not amused by sarcasm about Ed's high-quality article.
- PJR blunders into some very dangerous territory. Nanny state, indeed!
- Dear Joaquín Martínez. We know that the Associated Press has nice images, but uploading them as Fair Use is still not allowed.
- Adding insult to injury: The official page of Richard Dawkins and the Simonyi Professorship archive about him are now the least important External Links of the Dawkins article. The new #1? A slightly misrepresenting video designed to make him look incapable of answering a Creationist's question. Update: Mentioning the site that shall not be named in his summary, Conservative shows he reads our WIGO! (Well, he is a member here, so this is hardly surprising...)
- All bow before the
ID-pushing link dumphighly encyclopedic article that is "Mystery of Life Video Clips"! The movie costs $19.99 on Amazon but you get it for free! We'll just... uh... claim fair use for the entire movie, right? That makes it totally not pirated, right? Update: Jazz brings this up... and Conservative actually takes down the links and alerts the copyright holder of the videos. Wow! - Move over atheists, homosexuals and evolution, Conservative's latest target is... ADHD!
- Sigh. Now we have Liberals and Academia redirected to Professor values and Talk:Professor values redirected to Talk:Liberals and Academia. Just another day in the life of one moron and his wiki. (Ironically enough, Andy's claim is a bit odd since the Professor Values article itself doesn't even show up in the Google results for me - the best result is the main page... at rank 2)
- Okay, pointing out typos is somewhat petty, but when Karajou mutilates the username of his boss and doesn't fix it, I'll make an exception.
- Kenservative calls Andy out for a showdown at professor values. Update: Andy engages in handwaving, and Conservative moves in for the kill.
- This apparently is "denial of Germany's role in World War II." Apparently, DanH's sense of humor was shot off in the War.
- Karajou half improved something ~ it must be copied, right? Well, yes. A large part of it's from here. The rest... forthcoming. But he may have actually written a paragraph.
- PJR's a mite touchy, I wonder why? Well, it's about time somebody said it.
- It's nice to know that in the midst of the TK madness, there's still some room for some good, old-fashioned racism on CP.
- Wikinterpreter: Possibly the first user on CP who got banned for welcoming back a guy after a two-month block. Update: Unbanned by DanH! But not by IP :( ... Apparently, that got fixed, too.
- Dan? You okay? What are the suitcases doing there? Tell me my hunch is wrong...
- Its official, Joaquín Martinez and TK are trolls. And DanH hurries to follow the orders of His Master's Voice instead of frowning at TK implicitly accusing Fox and Wikinterpreter of Bad Stuff. Yep, all's back to "normal" on CP.
- Conservative wipes
his sockpuppet'sFreedom777's talk page, but Dan restores it. Okay, either Freedom & Ken areloversbuddies, or socks. Update: Deleted again. Update: PJR restores it[1]. - "Hi, I wanted to improve the FBI article, could you unlock it?" - "Sure! I'll give you 30 minutes to make your edits." Update: "Thanks for playing! I'll now revert your contribs and protect the page again!"
- A prof "baring his buttocks in front of children" is an example for "Shocking Murders and Crimes by Professors" and for Professor Values, but University Presidents purging bad grades of students or using University funds for private uses aren't examples. Why not? Maybe because they were the Presidents of conservative/Christian institutions?
- Jdellaro, who last contributed five hours before his demise, is blocked for his "previous blocks." Catch 22, meet Conservapedia.
- Crocoite: "Jesus Christ was the first person to be resurrected on this earth." Wasn't there that one boy in the Old Testament at least? Oh, and that other kid. Oh, and another man... and that Lazarus guy in the New Testament. Update: Yeah, okay, if you use a fairly unfair definition of "resurrection"... :P
- Featured Articles are supposed to be good community articles (by whatever standard CP has for this word), not articles that were effectively edited, locked and promoted to Featured status by a single sysop within less than twelve hours. PJR is not amused by this, but is being told that "there is an special team" for Featured Articles. Bwuh? Guess that Featured Articles are just yet another isolated branch of CP, just like the Liberal [noun] ones.
- From the author who brought us the timeless modern classic Two meters, we present his latest blockbusters
English to Metric conversionsImperial to Metric conversions and Metric to English conversions. - DanH lays down a revelation - the ceremonial law of the Old Testament, when pertaining to sexual immorality, doesn't necessarily apply today. Really? What about Leviticus on homosexuality? Is that strategically, or randomly important, because it's politically important??
- Keep thinking, HelpJazz, I'm sure the answer will come to you... Update Getting warmer...
- Crocoite: "I have the balls to actively oppose giving night time edit rights to DLerner, but not to say why I oppose it!"
- Easter is "more properly" known as Resurrection Sunday, a term Andy claims he just invented.
- What's the biggest "WTF" here? That Ed "I was editing on Wikipedia before the Internet existed" Poor managed to totally cripple an article, that the merge suggestion has been in place for almost three months now, or that nobody ever did anything about either of the previous things because it hadn't been WIGO'd before? Update: You're welcome. Seriously, banned RW users (indirectly) contribute more to CP than several CP sysops...
- s-shal constrk? wut wold dooze big wurds meen? (Read summary)
- Another arbitrarily applied rule: We don't allow advertisement, lest they beat us at the constitutional law thing. Update: This is why DanH is one of my fav sysops these days.
- There are many ways to get on Ed's not-so-good side. Some of them are... subtle.
- Some poor wench is commanded by her husband to remove her contributions from Conservapedia. (Click here if the original link is a dead end.) As a good little slave, she must comply...and lo, it was deleted!
- Ed Poor: "I read this on the site we openly accuse of being liberally biased, so I'll just use it as a basis for my article. We'll look for primary sources later."
- Filed under "This would earn any non-sysop a block of at least a day": Copying from a GFDL source to
put obscene liberal biasimprove the article about "pornography", using a wiki as a source, and the wiki itself says "You must log in to view this site." - Master! Master! See my fifty new and concise articles! There even are about three that aren't utter trash.
- How do you get unblocked on CP? Have the sysop that blocked you get blocked. Wait, sorry, parole denied - and sentence lengthened to five years... again. Update - unblocked again.
- Law enforcement threats are back, for this series of, errr, lovely, ummm, goat-centric vandalism. Oh, and welcome.
- It might be a little late in the game to take note of this, but PhoenixWright was banned for being RW's AmesG, because he's a lawyer, which smells like Ames, apparently. Anyways, he had some good exploits, including this addition to the 90/10 rule article, and "Liberal Liberals." Update: Awww, you brokeit.
- Now you know what I mean when I say, "TerryH is a douche," blasting StephenS for this radical edit.
- According to Karajou, accurately quoting from reviews in a section called 'Reviews' in an article about a video game is wrong if the review says the game is bad, and the game has a Christian theme (though quoting from a review to quote mine it is, apparantly, perfectly OK).
- Aschlafly: "I don't understand what you're going to do, so it's probably something liberal and wrong."
- Well, that's a heck of a crappy entry someone else wrote.
- Begging for evidence to be posted on Conservapedia is a futile task.
- Andy makes sure we know about the latest breaking news.
- Lyin' Ed, never one to let honesty get in the way of encyclopedia building, blocks a user, citing a policy that he didn't unilaterally declare as official until after the fact.
- Now that's a pity Ed. (read the Edit Summary.)
- This was unexpected: Crocoite decides that the copyright of the Associated Press is stronger than CP's "Anything is Fair Use" claims.
- Is Philip Rayment the next Fox? Andy's now called him "materialist" and "overly literal" simply because he called Andy out on his self-serving redefinition of words (and he shows no sign of backing down). Maybe this'll break Andy's magic spell on another (comparatively) rational and kind user; will PJR wake up and smell the Karajou? Stay tuned. Sorta-kinda update: Is this Andy's way of calling PJR a Democrat (and thus a liberal)?
- Ed's hard-on for the word "theory" continues. (Free clue, Ed: In the sciences, "Theory" does not mean "wild-assed guess". That's a "Hypothesis".)
- Jallen is fighting the good fight against transparency and openness by deleting several user and talk pages for no apparent reason. Among the victims are a guy who was randomly accused of being Ames, a user who "only" got six months for allegedly being a RW parodist, and a guy who got into trouble for asking Ed to stick to the Commandments.
- Project "Drive Honest Editors Out of CP" proceeds nicely. Self-fulfilling prophecy?
- Andy spins out of control to defend his "Liberals and friendship" anecdoted: "My opinions are observations, and observations are evidence."
- One of the signs that you're hanging out too much on CP: Sysops appear in your dreams. (comment: that's not "[your] pet cat/fly named Bohdan", that's our official pet wandal! Now, where's that pest-strip?)
- Apparently, a heximal numbering system is a conservative principle.
- Congratulations to Freedom777, CP's new sysop. Freedom has a grand total of... two mainspace edits and 549 edits to the ID userspace draft thingy. Meritocracy in action!
- Like clockwork: Ed makes a wild claim about Dawkins and promptly gets a request for sources. Cue the personal remarks about damn liberals not finding the sources for his BS in 5... 4... 3...
- The Assfly decides that informing the world about Strawberry Shortcake is a matter for law enforcement agencies. Unfortunately he destroys the evidence.
- Remember "Liberals and friendship", Andy's hate-filled opinion piece which is sourced by conservative sob stories? Well, Andy makes it clear: "[T]his entry is not opinion. It is observation."
- Don't worry, Fox, Bethany doesn't mind that you're a Jew.
- Opposing something is the same as censoring it, and if you disagree you're liberally biased, right Andy?
- In an utterly bizarre moment, Ed says Fundamentalist Christians are the same as terrorists.
- Karajou, repeating the sixth grade for the fortieth time, is busy with class.
- Ed creates a new page: Liberalism and art, oddly including a wiki link to vulva. Update: First they took the vulva, then they vaporized the article. All hail Fox for at least inducing some sanity into CP! Update: the latest on Ed Poor's jihad against liberals, liberal code words.
- Pointing out that my rants came from my own arsehole is "whining", oh, and its your responsibility to cite them. Also, final settlement on the political affiliations of the Mac vs. PC debate.
- 200 years of the Republican Party, and there's been a whole 33 Black Republicans, some of whom didn't die in past centuries.
- Apparently whatever Ed's got is catching, as fragile flower Joaquin blocks DLerner for a week for "bullying". Are they going to install a fainting couch over there, for when their dainty sysops get the vapours? Update: Salvation!
- Filed under "Idiocy that wouldn't happen if there were actual rules everybody has to obey" - JM: "Linking Dean Martin to the Three Stooges and Salma Hayek boosts our Google rank!" - Dan: "No, and Andy said not to do that." - JM: "Okay, the links will stay until Andy decides about this then."
- Andy shows proof that liberals don't really like you. from THIS.
- Andy makes a strong case for ID by making (unsourced) statements that, presented independently, would be viewed as a ridiculous parody of ID supporters. "Evolutionists are censors and will do anything they can to suppress other viewpoints and research"... Epic fail much?
- Andy finds a sock, apparently.
- Ah, my home town of Cambridgewark! Yes, Conservapedia. You're number one at fail. Update: Fox culls the lulz.
- Why is Lyin' Ed so reluctant to answer a simple question? Does he perhaps realize he's been caught out? Update 1: Wow, dishonesty is as natural for breathing to Ed, who after implicitly accusing an editor of being dishonest then proceeds to blocks the user for "personal remarks" for this edit that didn't actually contain any. ...so you either made stuff up... = accusation of lying in the conservaverse. Will Conservative logic lead to ... you claimed I Am lying ... prove I am! Update 2: Oh, the deceit! "Honest" Ed blocks the user at 9:38, but only two minutes later posts that he is too soft-hearted to issue a block himself and will let someone else do his dirty work. Update 3: Even PJR doesn't understand the block.
- Oh Fuk! The drawbacks of content filters but PJR shows you how to get around them.
- Ed, you should really lay off the Christian Fun Punch and READ YOUR DAMN POSTS, YOU SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT|
- Apparently, complaining about the sysops' overuse of the banhammer to win arguments is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
- Crocoite makes it very clear: "You see a sysop abusing his power? LOOK AWAY. Also, don't complain about the Liberal [noun] articles. CP is a conservative site, and that means that we're bashing liberals and proud of it. Conservative bias is GOOD."
- Yes, Ed, it's funny, but you're editing a fucking encyclopedia article.
- Nope, not fascist at all, no sir.
- Conservative still doesn't know about the preview button, so fuck it all.
- Some headlines are so incredibly important, they have to be posted twice! Update: Go, Fox!
- You'd think Ed "Let me tell you for the billionth time how I was one of Wikipedia's earliest editors and am an expert on wikis" Poor would know how wikis work by now. Update: Planet Earth calling Ed... do you copy?
- GASP* Fox not only wiped "liberal tools" - he now claims that the "liberal" in "Liberal Christianity" does not imply a political agenda! Will Andy be pleased?
- I guess Ed didn't have his coffee this morning: "[Natural selection] is a 'theory', and not universally accepted" - "Oops!" Update: As usual, liberals are to blame somehow.
- Hypocrisy, Ed has it: "Assume good faith"
- Beware the Ides of March! Oh noes, hang on a moment we're having technical difficulties!
- When parody becomes reality. Update: gone.
- Hilarious timing, activate! 1) DHayes makes several good points (though he's wordy). 2) He makes himself useful and notifies Conservative of an error. 3) He gets a 1-day Croco block for whining. 4) Conservative fixes the error and repeatedly thanks him. Update: Jimmy notifies Conservative and gets a 1-day "Mind Your Own Business" Croco block. TomMoore brings up Jimmy's block and also gets a 1-day "Mind Your Own Business" Croco block - quoting Girl Genius: "Dis is turnink into vun of dose plans... hyu know - de kind vere ve keel everybody dot notices dot ve's killin' people?"
- DanH reminds us how our castles are made of paper.
- Looks like poor Ed Poor's mommy and daddy didn't love him enough
- Another high quality article from Ed.
- Just some minor Lulz: Yeah, this is exactly what people think of when they think of someone "coming out"|
- Andrew Schlafly, not at all jealous of Barack Obama. Not even a little bit. JEALOUS indeed, yup, of his "peer", once upon a time, at the Harvard Law Review.
- MetcalfeM told it like it is. UPDATE: No, he didn't.UPDATE: YES. HE. DID!!! and no one is really surprised by this UPDATE some more: Looks like some other folks are joining him in pointing out the Emperor's Wardrobe is a bit lacking.
- Difference 15: CP will not monitor other blogs and sites. That's why DanH totally didn't monitor Feebasfactor's WP account.
- It took just... 14 hours, but one CP sysop at least realized that Fox has left the building. Update: More people notice. In the meantime, Andy... has other concerns.
- They're not even trying to hide their ideology-pushing anymore: DanH asks why anybody should give a non-ideological reason for censoring the fact that Himmler, Marx and Oscar Wilde were homeschooled. UPDATE The deletions are reverted as they contradict Difference 9: "Wikipedia editors who are far more liberal than the American public frequently censor factual information. Conservapedia does not censor any facts that comport with the basic rules." Of course DanH deletes again and keeps shtum on his justification. Shame on you Dan!
- Crocoite takes Conservapedia one step closer to the Scarlet Letter. Wear your badges with pride, friends.
- Andy makes it clear that anything he's never heard of is liberal and deceitful. But wait... PWNED! Turns out many winners are reverends and rabbis (including Billy Graham), and include people such as everyone favorite "liberal" Chuck Colson.
- PJR and Ed cite
Robert TurkelSheila RangslingerJ.P. Holding to defend the whole "Bible does not claim that Pi equals 3" thing? Oh yeah, that explains a lot... - Dear Joaquín: We know that Conservative really loves to brag with Google rankings, and we know that Ed loves being praised for his silly achievements... but you're grasping at straws here. The more obscure the search term, the higher its ranking.
- Fox deletes his User and Talk pages & protects them. Is he going? UPDATE He may be away for some time!
- I have a new homework assignment for you, kids - it's called "write and think what I tell you to write and think." You may choose your pre-approved, ideologically vetted topic from here before turning to our textbook, my mother's unintelligible screed.
- Ed reaches into the Hivemind and pulls out another liberal gem! Update: is it just me or is Ed a total douche tonight?
- Read the last sentence in cp:Flying Spaghetti Monster. Does this mean Conservapedia finally admits Intelligent Design is based in Christianity? (If that's not immediately clear, read the original letter that spawned Pastafarianism - it makes no mention of Christianity, just Intelligent Design.)
- Liberals don't believe in law and order, and leads to a lawless society. Except some liberals do come down real hard on law and order. Explain that, Andy? Oh, they're only doing it to further their own careers.
- Now Ed is really taking the piss. Update: Fox agrees and consigns it to the memory hole.
- Mommy! Ed's not sycophantic at all!
- Oh my. Footnote #1 on Conservapedia's article on the hate group, Christian Identity, groups Phyllis Schlafly and Eagle Forum with other white supremacists and fear-mongering hate traders. While I admit it's no surprise, it is a surprise to see it on Conservapedia!
- Ed Poor is at it again. He just can't help showing off what a great worker he is to his beloved idol. Four dozen new articles! That's a total of about...well... sixty sentences.
- Remember, according to CP Commandment 5, you must never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever put in personal opinion, or you might get blocked.
- The latest of Ed Poor's assignments.
- Little-by-little, inch-by inch, Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader.
- It's finally happened. Conservapedia has become the Simpsons' satirical vision of fundamentalists, as Ed Poor objects to Michelangelo's David.
- If you're left of ASchlafly (which probably includes most Republicans) you're in league with Islamic Terrorists Fox (our home grown tame Israelophile) has a different take on it: you're anti Israeli.
- Achtung! Either you voluntarily drink the Kool-aid® or you will be shot! That is all.
- C'mon Andy--stop beating around the bush and tell us how you really feel.
- "petty" - (adj) See: Andrew Schlafly
- And some people still wonder why so few people contribute to CP: A new guy isn't happy with Ed's global warming whitewashing in the "Polar bear" article and rewrites it after leaving a lengthy complaint. Ed takes it like a true CP sysop and waves his fist in the guy's general direction.
- A reader asks ... (Editorial v Encyclopaedic) further A hitherto line following editor takes issue.
- It's diffs like this one that really show that Wikipedia's NPOV/BLP policies aren't such a bad idea.
- Ed points out that a talk page is not for putting down other contributiors. Will Karajou or Andy heed his advice?
- Ahh... Conservative Hypocrisy
- As usual, Andy is ignorant about his own rules, even after they're pointed out to him.
- Barikada's toeing a dangerous line by pointing out that when the Bible gets something mathematically wrong, it's apparently an estimate, while other numerical estimates are exact measurements of the world's age. Hopefully the largely defensive weapon of ban won't hit him before this plays out to its hilarious conclusion.
- How fast they forget: DanH has issues with a "Look how biased things are!" graph that uses the exact same method that CP's "six times more liberal" claim is based on: Self-identification.
- I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Steve doesn't Date Much|
- Bohdan has been hanging out with us too long: "I actually don't think that the 'Liberal ____' articles are very encyclopedic."
- Abortion and prostitution? Yeah, they're pretty much the same thing.
- Poe's Law, Part 23. But no longer. Apparently, Fox mean this. Remains to be seen how Andy feels.
- So little text, so much WTF: Why does CP's "Prince" article redirect to "Prince (musician)"? Why doesn't CP have any real article on what a prince is? Why is the second sentence dedicated to pointing out that he's a Jehovah's Witness? And why is the third sentence describing Machiavelli's "The Prince"? Update: Fox is on strike
- It's good to archive old stuff from your talk page, just don't forget to leave all the pats on the back from Andy when you do!
- Was I alone in imagining Boy scouts hiring fireworks at extortionate prices? (Boy Scouts rent skyrockets ...)
- Stalin believed in evolution, therefore, evolution is evil. Right Karajou?
- Yes Andy, faith is a uniquely Christian concept. I guess the beliefs of Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and all other religions count for nothing in the eyes of a few select individuals
- Andy's reading comprehension is lacking again.
- People who make sense look out of place on CP. Case in point: DanH deletes "Liberal sarcasm" because "Sarcasm" exists. In the meantime: Liberal Bias, Liberal Christianity, Liberal Hypocrisy, Liberal values, Liberal ideology...
- Andy resurrects an old RobS favorite - feigned ignorance.
- Anybody fancy a little Karajou baiting? Update: Pointing out that somebody in the US Military did something bad and using the same sweeping generalization Andy used = "liberal sarcasm" 3-day block - Yay, double standards! And then PhoenixWright comes to the rescue, but bites another three day block.
- Crocoite is concise! Two Lulz in a one-line reply: 1) "Feel free to add fact tags... so that Andy can ban you." and 2) "Don't revert stuff you don't agree with - only sysops are allowed to do that!"
- pr0n beats out a minister's son any day. Can't argue with Schlafly stats!
- All sorts of things "happen" when sysops (and owners) can't read diffs correctly. Then again it's probably a case of being a thorn in the side.
- Iduan (about "Academy Award"): "This is a combo of bad grammar and a copy from Wikipedia" - Joaquín Martínez: "So what?"
- Crocoite begins to see a flaw in the great plan to have dozens of articles about the evils of liberals: People suddenly add them all to "Category:Liberals"! Quickly realizing that he's not arguing from a good position, he now tries to change the rules of the game... or is he actually discussing something else? Dude, phrase your proposals less vaguely!
- Dear Fox: Thanks again for your efforts with unbanning some of us. The gesture is much appreciated, but you made an unfortunate mistake in your reasoning. You said: "There was no vandalism, no obscenities, just disagreement. We are - I hope - all adult enough here to accept dissent. My take is that so long as you don't attempt to "corrupt" an article, you are free to edit here." Unfortunately, you forgot about a certain someone who does not tolerate anybody disagreeing with His Andyness. :(
- Confronted with Enron and Nixon, Andy promptly redefines "deceit": Any "run-of-the-mill political lies or fraud" are not deceit!
- Read your sources: Andy: "Government finally admits it: vaccines can cause autism." Source: "Significantly, the government's decision says nothing about whether vaccines cause autism."
- I'll take "Insane and Absurd Claims" for 400, Alex: "Embraced deceit is common among liberals, but non-existent among conservatives." Proof? Why, just look at all the carefully selected examples Andy presents in the Deceit article!
- Radioactive decay: Andy "cleared out some bias and speculation here" By reversing the meaning entirely.
- Feebasfactor's gotta be a Troll; there could be no better demonstration of No True Scotsman! UPDATE is Andy reading WIGO?
- So is Andy Pandy's use of 'high quality' either a prime example of Newspeak or just plain old Liberal grading?
- PalMD's first steps on CP after being unbanned: Karajou and Andy still don't like an actual doctor speaking about medical issues. Always remember #14 of this list: "We do not drive away experts by pretending that some random anonymous user who just signed up is as knowledgeable and authoritative as a scholar with decades of experience in teaching or research." Right, Andy. Right. Update: Assfly claims to know more about medicine than a doctor because he talks to physicians regularly. Update update: Palmd001, not a doctor.
- Poe's law strikes again....
- When will America be saved from the dangerous scourge of Professors? And did you know?? Among professors, "there have been a relatively large number of shocking crimes and bizarre conduct"!! [Citation Not Needed]
- Andy Schlafly - Ladies' Man or creepy luster? Remember Andy, lust is a sin.
- Andy's ego gets in the way of his project yet again. After blocking a user because nobody else happened to be editing at the time, the editor explains himself, only to be met with a fuck you by Andy. UPDATE: pwned. UPDATED UPDATE: doubled pwned, and it goes on but Andy's got the I'm an ignorant asshole defense to fall back on. Final(?) Update: Karajou sweeps in and bans him for "disrespect to the site and Aschlafly".
- Fuck women's rights.
- Well, it's taken some time but Guns in schools has arrived. (and here's a piccy. Relevance?
- Is Asswipe trying to amuse? IMHO!
- Rock slamming the irony meter!
- What's a more important news story than terrorism, illegal immigration, a school shooting, and anti-semitism? Why, a (Mormon) dancer's virginity, of course.
- More anti-semitism at CP. Despite being informed of the Jerusalem school shooting, Crocko'shite largely ignores it and it is left to Fox to add it to the Breaking News section some fifteen hours later. And Crock wonders why people don't like Mormons.
- It's not an illusion, and it's not April 1; this is real: Fox unbans Wikinterpreter and even apologizes! UP-FREAKING-DATE: Paging PalMD...
- Karajou, professional mind reader. (Apparently, the block happened because of this simple content discussion...)
- Mwa! Ha! Hah! ROTFL. "This is a High..." Sorry I can't go on.
- Yes, it's a pet peeve: Not even ANDY, the Supreme Commander of his
blogsite knows how to move an article the right way. <rant>Seriously, what good is it to restrict the Move right to people who don't know how to use it? Then again, Andy doesn't like history transparency, so we shouldn't be surprised...</rant> Note: Andy conveniently forgot to move the original talk page - I wonder why... - Conservapedia brings out the rednecks.
- Croc-o-ite, noun (2007) - see, pwned. Update: being pwned on all sides, Crocoite lashes out, blocks one user, gets called out on that, and blocks another. What would Jesus do? Probably kill all witnesses, apparently. Update #2: Crocoite is a toddler.
- After a lovely Parthian shot, Azariphale returns! But for how long, before the insanity gets to him again? Update: About 6 hours, since you ask.
- Andy gets called out for quote mining. Will his head asplode? Update: The replies are in: Crocoite foams at the mouth while Andy simply asserts and re-asserts that he is right.
- Jazz,
improvingcensoring Andy'scraphigh-quality contributions and then calling it "blog-style language" while asking for sources is NOT the best way to get Edit rights. - Ed complains that the "Unisex movement" article is unbalanced because it "just has two opposition quotes". Hilarity: He added both quotes!
- Nitpicking is fun: TerryH copy-pastes CreationWiki's "Sun" entry. He claims it's okay because it was "originally written by" him and "does not include alterations made by others on that site" - too bad that that's not true.
- Assfly keeps going with his "Hollywood Values", first implying that Sharon Tate must have had it coming (does this make Manson the agent of God's justice?), then by stating that by "valuing" anything that leads to death, liberals value death itself. What does this say about "Military Values", I wonder?
- It's spot the difference time! This is Conservapedia's article on John McCain in September 2007. Can you spot the cunningly subtle changes those CP folk have made in the current version?
- More paraphrasing of PJR: "How could anyone possibly object to people telling Hindus that their beliefs are bullshit? Obviously my irrational superstitions are correct, and it is imperative that everyone understand this." And you wonder why these guys were ever fed to the lions. Update: PJR provides a Reader's Digest version of the above
- Shorter PJR: I'm as scared of Andy as you are.
- Conservative fairy tales go like this: "The liberal hero slaughters the poor, innocent dragon for money. No, not to save the fair maiden or rescue a village. Money."
- Ever since his 1-day block, PhoenixWright is somewhat bitter and speaks his mind - word of wisdom: Just because your name is Phoenix doesn't mean that you're going to rise from the ashes once the sysops burn your account to a crisp.
- TerryH demonstrates that CP sysops are not appointed based on their people skills.
- We're all looking forward to Andy's explanation of how his ripping off an AP wire picture constitutes Fair Use. Ah, IP laws, who needs 'em?
- BREAKING NEWS: Andy was abducted by
LiberalsAliens, and they left a cheap imitation in his place. You can easily tell - the clone made a joke that's actually halfway funny and not anti-liberal! - Proving once again that genuine nut-jobs and parodists are hard to distinguish. Oh, and it's usually a pretty bad sign when you defend yourself against quote mining accusations before even posting a single quote. Kinda like yelling "I DID NOT KILL HIM! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!" when a cop walks past you.
- Words of wisdom from Ed Poor about Vietnam POWs and Abu Ghraib. (Someone claims it's all Moral Relativism.)
- Good grief, utter rubbish; needs rewrite, Will the Foxmuppet be man enough to do the same with the utter rubbish The Assfly, PJR or Kajagook produce? Or will he remain a tool helping to disguise Andy's blog as an encyclopedia?
- "Don't call ME a plagiarist" Kajagoogoo BANHAMMERS SSchultz. Turns out he was one of ours. Update: Barikada stands toe-to-toe with Petty Officer cum schoolyard bully Karajou. Time stands still.
- User:DLerner Tells Andy about reality.
- The only thing you'll ever need to know about this concept is that evilutionist lieberal athiest demoncrats can't explain it. UPDATE: PJR settles things "right".
- A user asks Andy a hypothetical question about Islamic prayer in school. Andy dodges the question and fires back a broadside of non-sequiturs. Additionally, his logic is so catastrophically flawed it requires new terms. The post-hoc fallacy is pretty well known, but Andy now gives us the "pre-hoc fallacy": abolishing school prayer not only meant no more geniuses afterwards, but for 100 years before as well.
- Ed, it's wonderful that you love Wikipedia, but still, "do not cite wikis as sources".
- Oh Noes!!!! We've had Liberal this, Liberal that & Liberal t'other, are we witnessing the beginning of Atheist fever? (Also, Andy: The Manual of Style would like to have a word with you)Update Such patriotism!.
- Quality Lulz bordering on the edge of an okay article: The Titius-Bode Law has been disproven by the discovery of Neptune, but that only means "that God in fact set the planets in their orbits according to this Law, but a subsequent cataclysmic event or sequence significantly altered the elegant mathematical pattern of the outer reaches of the solar system." (Oh; & it's the orbit's semi major axis: not the planet's)
- Pop quiz! What does "class" mean? A group of schoolchildren? Socioeconomic strata? A taxonomic level? If you guessed an obscure clause in the Constitution, you'd be right! (Likewise, the CP definition of "answer" is somewhat narrow, too.)
- Wonderboy Karajou to the rescue!
BanningSaving us from the evils ofhelpful, unobjectionable category editsmass category changes! And thank God mass reverting edits is perfectly okay! [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] Update: Karajou blocks hundreds of IP addresses to save us from this evil scourge of good faith edits! - Another poor sap makes the mistake of asking for an explanation from Andy as to why all his hard work has been de-liberaled, without realising that asking such a thing of Andy is about as effective as asking a baby why it poops itself. Update: one day off for apparently not kow-towing to Andy's unexplained reversions. RESPECT OUR DEMIGOD, FOOL!
- User:IntofSci has made the greatest of mistakes, he has edited Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons to reflect reality, how long will he last? Update:17 hours, 35 minutes.
- Alright; this should be in "According to" but look who it is pontificating about that immigrant and the bus crash. (It's Mommy)
- Thugs hurl butter at whalers. Pity it wasn't potatoes (see 6 wigos earlier).
- You don't agree with forcing children to pray in class? Religious censorship! Help! I'm being repressed!
- Spelling lessons with Andrew Schlafly: In the UK, you spell it "humourous". In the US, you spell it "humorous". On CP, you're apparently supposed to spell it "humous". (Also, Lolcandy, it's a good idea when schoolin' peeps on the their spelig to not make too many errors yourself: "across" has only on "c", indeed! But don't worry, whoever points it out will get reverted and blocked)
- Burning the evidence is now called "routine cleaning" - yep, that sure sounds nicer than "erasing all evidence of me censoring people who asked uncomfortable questions"!
- Ed asks a good question. The answer, of course, is "nothing". Feminists actually like women.
- Confronted with evidence that one of the Quality Articles is copied from Wikipedia, Andy has the ultimate defense: WP copied it from the same source! Which is still entirely wrong.
- Karajou posts a long article, including a reference to a hilarious naval incident. Wow, I learned and laughed at something on Conservapedia! Maybe I've been wrong about this place. Oh, wait. It's a complete copy and paste job. Thanks, Karajou!
- Crocoite's hard-on for copy-pasting headlines from his favorite anti-liberal blogs meets Andy's hard-on for contests: Behold... the News Contest!
- Ed's articles are indeed high quality, compared to this non-article by CPWebmaster (who needed three edits to get it into this state).
- And today's word is: "awesome"!
- Another high-quality article by a Conservapedia sysop. I've seen parodists putting more work into their articles. Update: Ed's on a run! (Granted, that version is better than his first one...)(and just look at the edit comment on this one. Sycophancy anyone?)
- I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be, it takes a village including the parents, not instead of. But hey, we already knew Andy was a literalist.
- Let us begin the war against pants
- Lies by Republican politicians are not deceit
- A Scot defends his country. UPDATE: Dates may be not only "incorrect," but "ideological."
- The modern liberal is known by his affection for cocaine and prostitutes. Apparently the modern liberal is Bender the Robot. Or Rush Limbaugh.
- Crocodile's gonna turn Conservapedia into the Mormon Book of all knowledge.
- Ben Schumin's contributions on Liberal Obstruction, Liberal Vandalism, Liberal Relativism, Category:Liberal Mental Conditions were regarded as parody by many editors but perhaps not Andy?
- Conservapedia Editors! We invite you to make suggestions when you encounter poor articles, and if appropriate, we'll take swift action to correct our mistakes. You will NOT suffer any consequences for pointing out errors in The Trustworthy Encyclopedia. (The article was formerly titled 'New gay plague').
- Oh noes! We've run out of good articles to feature. Time to get out the repeats.
- The Trusworthy Encyclopedia now encourages wild, unsourced literature interpretation based on personal opinions: "people who lie the most" are, of course, liberals - and they're also monsters. Coming up next: "The snake in the Garden of Eden was the first liberal!"
- What's going on? Apparently the Soviet Union still (for a while longer at least). In case you were wondering how an article this good appeared this quickly visit Wikipedia.
- Bisexual? What's that?
- Liam Spencer: Hey Andy I don't get home until after the night edit lock is put on. I can haz night edits plz? Andy: well, you don't have any substantiative edits in the last month! Gee Andy, I wonder why that is...
- Java7837 claims: "I am an Orthodox Jew and despise liberal stupidity" but the arch zionist fox disagrees: "(no you are not, u are a provacateur or a parodist)" and wields the banhammer
- It's "Make up a new term and label it as important" time again! This time: Wikipedia Newspeak - you know, like how Wikipedia censors the whole "evolution as theory" thing.
- Andy vows to clean up his blog, so fictional dates like "8500BC" get replaced by more fuzzy phrases. Also, MORAL DECAY
- Liberal friendship talk page just gets better. Highlights include Andy failing his deadline by several days and counting, being called out by one of his own, and bullying other users to avoid answering those uncomfortable questions.
- Before Conservative floods this off the Recent Changes: Somebody actually did some research about the "[WorldNetDaily] was voted the most popular website on the Internet" claim. Let's see how Andy twists reality in this case!
- Another prophecy from Kenservative. Read carefully, he's predicting events two years in the past. Try again, o mighty seer!
- Filed under "things only sysops can get away with": PJR asks a question on December 31, Conservative replies almost two weeks later (and only to promise that an explanation would come roughly a month later), and then misses even that "February" deadline. But hey, that makes him only "a day late" - and to top it off, the answer is still not there, but give him five minutes to write a mail.
- Ah, the cowardice of Andy (can you really call it intellectual?). Hiding the evidence that you're an idiot doesn't make you look less like an idiot, dude. It just makes you look like a dishonest idiot.
- As a German, I can only shake my head at Andy's homeschooling sob story and the alleged state of German schools. But it's nice to see that he apparently supports breaking/evading the law when it's not convenient.
