Pi (π) is a number created by creationists in order to dominate the world an irrational number defined as being the circumference of a circle divided by it's diameter. Pi is known since the very old antiquity, but a big progress in its understanding was made by Archimedes who discovered many geometric formulas involving pi. An even more significant progress was made during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, when many discoveries about it were made by many mathematicians, including the discovery of infinite series for pi which enabled us to calculate it, the proof of its irrationality by Johann Heinrich Lambert in 1768 and the proof of its transcendence by Ferdinand von Lindemann in 1882.

There are many woo about pi, especially among pseudomathematicians
