Subhas Chandra Bose (1897–1945) was a far-right Indian activist and nationalist who sympathized with and collaborated with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. He was the founder of the Indian legion, an Indian militia group that was allied with and fought for the Nazis against the British. Unfortunately, he’s revered by many people in India for his strong anti colonial stance despite his legacy of racism and authoritarianism.
Early political history[edit]
Bose was born into a wealthy and privileged large Benagli family in Orissa during the British Raj, being heavily under British educational supervision. Bose was sent to England to enter the Indian Civil Service test (basically a racist test by the British to know if Indians would be loyal to the empire).
