Bose, Indian Harry Potter?

Subhas Chandra Bose (1897–1945) was a far-right Indian activist and nationalist who sympathized with and collaborated with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. He was the founder of the Indian legion, an Indian militia group that was allied with and fought for the Nazis against the British. Unfortunately, he’s revered by many people in India for his strong anti colonial stance despite his legacy of Hindutva.

Early political history[edit]

Bose was born into a wealthy and privileged large Benagli family in Orissa during the British Raj, being heavily under British educational supervision. Bose was sent to England to enter the Indian Civil Service test (basically a racist test by the British to know if Indians would be loyal to the empire).

Death[edit]

Legacy[edit]

Good stuff[edit]

Like his contemporaries Gandhi and Nehru, he was staunchly anti colonialist, but this is where things get pretty bad. Bose sided with Germany out of the logic of fellow friends of enemies (the enemy of my enemy is my friend). He had strong connections with Germany, even meeting with Hitler himself to send troops to India and formed a local militia called the Indian Legion.
