Suggest a short statement for RW's acceptance to the AllTrials campaign; one will be picked.

1[edit]

Refuting pseudoscience and critical thinking require an adherence on the part of scientists to basic principles shared by the scientific community, including the sharing of data and the results of experiments, successful or otherwise. This is particularly the case in medicine, where the stakes are especially high. Potential buzzphrases that might fit here include:

  • Transparency
  • The democratisation of knowledge/science
  • Accountability

Gentlemen,

Publishing all papers in regards to clinical trials will help end bad science on the internet. 2015 is going to be a bad year for biased medical information! Olé! Olé! Olé!

3[edit]

Especially in medicine, where people's lives hang in the balance, selectively released studies are worse than no studies. Unattempted science claims nothing and misleads nobody. Partially released science may as well be pseudoscience: both create a convenient, manipulative lie in the seductive guise of truth.

Fight pseudoscience. Release all trials.

Weaseloid's suggestion[edit]

RationalWiki supports the most rigorous standards of evidence-based medicine as well as greater public understanding of the science that affects our lives and decisions. We support the AllTrials campaign for full transparency in clinical trials, which will encourage greater scientific scrutiny, inspire future research, contribute to public health and keep patients and consumers better informed.

I like this better than mine - David Gerard (talk) 18:26, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
This is pretty good. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 18:58, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

I mean, I have a certain amused fondness for the Ken-alike, and it's not actually wrong ... but, ah, this is better - David Gerard (talk) 23:25, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I suspect if we used the Ken one they'd run a mile from us. Sadly, even while I was writing it, it felt like a relic of the old days. And so did I. BicyclewheelModerator 19:16, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
