George Washington[edit]

Freeing his slaves after his death (or, more accurately, after his wife's death) might be more than can be said for most, but it is less than could have been done while he was alive. Still, it is hard to knock the guy who willingly gave up a third term (he totally would have won) --Bertrc (talk) 20:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Thomas Jefferson[edit]

In terms of mixing the bag, it is very difficult to get past the Sally Hemmings statutory thing . . . --Bertrc (talk) 20:29, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

IMHO, no analysis of Teddy Roosevelt would be complete without mentioning that he spoke softly, but carried a big stick. --Bertrc (talk) 20:28, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

FDR[edit]

I think there was a bit of power-hunger going on here that drags FDR below Lincoln (trying to pack the courts, excessive terms, etc.) Yeah, he might have seen himself as doing it for some envisioned "greater good" but it is still a bit dodgy. Japanese internment is also a rather black blackmark. I'm holding off on a "Best President" challenger until you get to Obama. ;-) --Bertrc (talk) 20:37, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Definitely so, I should probably add that tbh, which I will after I`m done writing this. At the rate I`m going I'll finally reach Obama by the year 2100 lol. Oxyaena Harass 09:26, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

"My greatest accomplishment was saving capitalism" -FDR Cosmic Explorer (talk) 08:39, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
