Section two[edit]
Hi. Just going through this. I can see that you've put a lot of work in - but if you think that anybody from CP is actually going to be prepared show up to debate I fear you may be being optimistic. :-(
- Completely agree with that, but at least they can't say nobody answered. :) --Sasayaki (talk) 08:38, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Anyway, just got to section two on "Punishment of those without sin" and I'm not sure that you've got that right. Does New Testament Christianity regard every death as a punishment? Isn't it just a short-cut to heaven?--BobSpring is sprung! 07:46, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'm not sure... I suppose it could be taken that way. If that IS the case, then why don't Christians simply murder all newborn children before they sin, promising a path to heaven? --Sasayaki (talk) 08:38, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'd guess because then they themselves wouldn't get in. :-) Though I seem to remember a woman in the states who did exactly that.--BobSpring is sprung! 08:57, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
....Because most of them velieve it's wrong? That's like saying "Well, nihilists should just kill all newborns because they think life is meaningless." Kind of a simplification, hmm?
the bible[edit]
Don't think you're going to get much traction on this one in the way you asked the question. The answer will be: "The bible is unchangeable because God wrote it". A better question might be "If God wrote the bible and he (and it) are infallible how come there are contradictions in it?" But theists well-versed in these debates will be aware of these and have developed hand-waving techniques to avoid them, so you would be well advised to research them first.--BobSpring is sprung! 07:52, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's a tricky one. It is a good point. I'll readdress this question in the morning (Saturday over here in Oz) and reword it to take into account your suggestions. Thank you very much, too! :) --Sasayaki (talk) 08:38, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Probable answer (if any)[edit]
"Sasayaki" (if that is indeed your real name). I can see from your posts that you're a liberal and there is a 95% chance that you oppose prayer in the classroom. I've managed to read your rants which are full of spleling errors, so clearly you're lacking a largely defensive weapon of gun. Like all liberals, you deny that creationism reduces language devolution. In sum, atheists don't have the real God and this helps fill your vacuum. If won't admit things that are obviously true, then there's little point in trying to hold a logical discussion with you. After all, if you refuse to accept this, then you obviously don't have an open mind.

The essay was deleted.[edit]
It was deleted for citing RationalWiki. My account was not, however, deleted- I'll go and repost the article with the RationalWiki answers copied in. This will make the essay huge, but eh.
- be careful. Try and remove anything they might consider offensive (pedophile priests, for example)--User:Brxbrx/sig 01:51, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, no luck [1]--User:Brxbrx/sig 01:57, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Doh, they did block my account too, for five years. Problem with that is that subsequent attempts to recreate the essay will get deleted for 'evading bans' I imagine. Ahh well... --Sasayaki (talk) 02:16, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's just User:cosnervative. Ask User:RobSmith if he can look into the matter. He's an admin over there, and he does some stuff here. He's much more reasonable than User:conservative--User:Brxbrx/sig 02:18, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Heya Maratrean,
Thanks very much for writing a response! I'm currently in the middle of a huge deployment at work, so give me a day or so to peruse it.
I welcome criticism and challenge of my views, so I'm confident it'll be a cracking read! :) Thanks once again! --Sasayaki (talk) 08:47, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
