Fun talk:Ferret
The picture looks suspiciously un-ferret-like. Sterileminichatroomthingy 22:31, 4 December 2007 (EST)
- An evolutionary adaptation to enable the great horned ferret to sneak up on bunnies to mangle them and eat them (after the prerequisite playing with the corpse). I sweer! 22:34, 4 December 2007 (EST) CЯacke®
Evolution ... bah! G-d created ferrets! Sterileminichatroomthingy 22:40, 4 December 2007 (EST)
That looks like the rare megaferretus australis incognitus to me. Not often seen outside its native habitat of coffee shop storage areas where the equally rare megabunny breeds. Susanpurrrrr ... 22:53, 4 December 2007 (EST)
- Although it is unusual for ferrets to grow to such a size it is not as uncommon as one might expect. The picture shows one on the ground, but I have personally seen them nesting in the trees near our local nuclear power plant. The horns are are a more surprising adaption. I would suggest that they are useful for opening the cows eggs which may be found in the sturdier trees and which have particularly tough shells.--Bobbing up 04:08, 5 December 2007 (EST)
Don't be silly! It is now accepted that the megaferret roots up fossilised Wooly Mammoth tusks and attaches them to its head using excreted glue from its musk gland. This is used purely as a mating display ritual by the female of the species (which is deadlier than the male). Susanpurrrrr ... 11:03, 5 December 2007 (EST)
