Evowiki[edit]
You still interested in evowiki's fate? Tmtoulouse (talk) 21:19, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but I haven't heard any updates in what feels like months. Right now I'm trying to backup the site's mainspace, as today is the due date on the sitenotice. --Onion <talk> 23:10, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Actually I have the database, though I do not have the images. I have had some conversation with Joe, the fate of the domain name is unknown, so I have moved forward with evolutionwiki.org. If you still want to help spearhead RWF efforts to preserve/integrate material at evowiki I had some ideas. Tmtoulouse (talk) 23:12, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- If you have any new ideas then lay them on me ASAP, I still think its a great idea to integrate EW's information about creationist claims. Also, can I have "curator" status as well? --Onion <talk> 23:55, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Elassint right? Tmtoulouse (talk) 23:56, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

You should be set, I have replied to you on evolutionwiki, let me know if you cant edit. Tmtoulouse (talk) 02:06, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Thank you.[edit]
Thanks for the help there. Wasn't sure if it was permitted, as the Sysops guide made it out like it was just street addresses, phone numbers etc. Thanks. EXTERMINATE 00:38, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Revision delete[edit]
I see no reason for that Rev delete you performed over at Conservapedia:Andrew Schlafly's greatest insights/ Please explain why you used it. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 01:09, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- The editor was not logged in and wanted their IP address protected. The edits themselves were not removed. Mornin' Goonie! Have a drink... hehe. ħuman 01:15, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Okay..... but I thought that our policy was not to delete revisions unless it was removed for legal reasons (I.E: somebody posted Gooniepunk2010's phone number as (555)555-5555), not because somebody wanted their IP address hidden. Unless, of course, the rules were changed. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 01:18, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Some people are quite concerned about their IPs for privacy reasons, I think that qualifies as legitimate rationale. Blue (is useful) 01:23, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we've had this discussion somewhere before, and the decision in the past was that IP's don't count, especially since we have ceiling cat to warn you that you are not logged in and that your IP address will thus be logged. The Spikey Punk I'm punking my punk! 01:25, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, we have been around this issue a few times and it has gone both ways more than once. I say decide it on the fly at the discretion of those that care enough to intervene, or not. Tmtoulouse (talk) 01:30, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well, since I seem to be the only one who cares this time, I say we'll let it slide this time. In the future, however, I think it best that it be used only for the reasons mentioned in the flight plan. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 01:34, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- (EC) I don't see the argument that "ceiling cat solves everything." On multiple occasions I have been logged out whilst editing a page, and thus had no way of knowing I wasn't logged in, and accidentally posted my IP. Blue (pester) 01:35, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Also, we have Debate:RevisionDelete, which was never really resolved. Blue (is useful) 01:37, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Again, as I seem to be the only one giving a fuck in this situation, I'm not going to fly off into a headless chicken mode with editors I respect over this. I do think, however, that it may be time to re-hash the debate on usage of rev. delete to hide IPs for the sake of hiding IPs. Or not.... The Spikey Punk I'm punking my punk! 01:58, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- The problem with revisiondelete is that it requires hiding every revision between adding the ip and removing it. So for example if you sign your comment using your IP, and other people comment before you realize your mistake, you'd have to delete their comments as well. If that is the case, I am against using revisiondelete unless it is a really serious privacy violation, because of how destructive it is. In this case though, it's okay since only the username had to be hidden for two edits. -- Nx / talk 09:33, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with Nx and Goonie (I think). Accidentally posting under one's IP address is not a good reason to fuck up the database. ħuman 04:12, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Pages in the MW space[edit]
Just curious - what exactly are you up to? Blue (is useful) 01:57, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'm simply trying to improve the interface messages. What do you think of my attempt to make Template:Welcome obsolete? --Onion <talk> 02:01, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not that familiar with MediaWiki - how would that affect Template:Welcome? Blue (pester) 02:03, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- You see MediaWiki:Welcomecreation? That's the next every new user sees after they create their account, and I edited it with my new powers to make it look like Template:Welcome (instead of a simple link to Special:Preferences, which is the default). You can test it by creating a sock. --Onion <talk> 02:06, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Why are you creating all these pages? It's not necessary at all. Blue (is useful) 03:55, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Don't talk to me about not "necessary", there's no reason not to. --Onion <talk> 04:02, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Citizendium[edit]
I regularly forget to update Citizendium/Active users - as it isn't an article on its own, and frankly, until a couple of weeks, I didn't take much interest in the site. But is the anything wrong with the current numbers? There is always the possibility to get something wrong! larronsicut fur in nocte 22:52, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, I simply wasn't paying attention, and somehow managed to forget the existence of Template:Czau, an incredibly dumb error on my part. But I do think you should be faster with an update next time, as Citizendium is a WIGO-worthy topic of discussion right now. --Onion <talk> 22:59, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'll try - otoh, no one had asked for an up-date for the last three weeks, so there wasn't that much interest in it, was it? larronsicut fur in nocte 23:06, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Did you go? We had some fun times. ТyTalk. 00:03, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Heh heh heh. Very funny.[edit]
Just visiting TBH, but I can't help but notice I'm locked out of my own userpage, despite the fact that I have not been desysoped! Can someone fix this please? Onion <talk> 07:52, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
You desysoped EVERYONE in an HCM?! WHAT THE FUCK!? It's stupid bullshit like that that made me sick of this....hang on, is that Louisiana style hot sauce? Give me some of that! --Onion <talk> 15:42, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

WhatLinksHere[edit]
When you plan on deleting something, please check 'what links here' (appearing on the 'tools' menu to your left) and amend any pages necessary (at least in main article space) so that you don't leave a bunch of broken links behind you.
