Lyrics? We should at least include a copyright notice. But better not to use them, sadly. ħumanUser talk:Human 21:59, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
I've added copyright acknowledgement and a claim of "Fair use". OK? It is a lovely song. This message brought to you by: Toastrespondand honey 08:24, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I liked Monty Python's take on Annie's Song, albeit only one line.
Narrator:And now, the sound of John Denver being strangled...
Denver (singing): You came on my pillow..AAAAAAAAAAGH......*cough*
Narrator: Thank you. Aboriginal Noise What the hell is that thing? 23:17, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

"and the singing of it is inevitably followed by many couch burnings."[edit]

I'm not sure I get this? Couches burned by stray roaches/joints? Or is "couch burning" another weird American thing I've yet to encounter? TheoryOfPractice 19:10, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

That's a West Virginia University reference :) Officially, WVU football games end with the singing of "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Unofficially, fans run amok in Morgantown after the game and burn upholstered furniture in the streets. At least that was the case until a couple of years ago when Morgantown decided they had enough and were going to crack down on the practice. Secret Squirrel 19:22, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
