Congrats![edit]

Good luck on the gig, my friend! The Symphony of Noise The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 13:19, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, man. We're opening for a great local rockabilly band called The Legendary Hucklebucks. They are a blast to watch, and I'd imagine more of a blast to play with. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 13:21, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
I found out from the singer of the Hucklebucks today that the show has been cancelled. Dammit. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 22:55, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

You've likely heard it, but....[edit]

Here's some of Minneapolis legends Hüsker Du. Enjoy! The Symphony of Noise The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 12:13, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Moderator nomination[edit]

In case you're not already aware, somebody nominated you in the RationalWiki:Moderator elections. You need to accept the nomination in the next day or so if you want to appear on the ballot. WèàšèìòìďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 14:51, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Gig[edit]

I recall you mentioning you had one. How was it? ТySerious Business Guy 02:20, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

I think we did pretty good. We played about 2 hours. I had forgotten how much of a pain in the ass moving all of that equipment to the venue and back was. I didn't miss that part. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 10:18, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Promotion[edit]

Congrats. :D Тytalk

Thanks, man. We haven't discussed financial benefits yet, but knowing what I know about my former boss, I'm going to be doing pretty well for a single, mid-30's guy. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 00:50, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
I got a 25% raise. Good start, but not exactly what I was looking for. Time will tell. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 04:36, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Wow, that is digging in the past. But definitely a top-5, Dickinson or not. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 23:19, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Saw Dickinson perform it live but this one belongs to Paul Di'Anno. Aceace 23:23, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
No question. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 23:29, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
I forgot how badass the bassline is in the middle of the song. I'll be damned if I can do anything like Mr. Murray can. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 04:34, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
Of all their new stuff I reckon the below track is the only one that captures that Ancient Mariner Powerslave Flight of the Icarus minutes to Midnight awesomeness...

Tornados[edit]

Just got back from my trip, thanks for your minor concern about my well-being while in Indiana. I actually hit that storm twice--once as I drove through it in Missouri headed east, then once in Indiana when it finally caught up to me. There was hail in the Missouri version. I was sitting at a McDonald's using their wifi when I saw your post, as well as the news reports about the Henryville tornado touch-down...my dad called me and asked the same thing. I didn't go farther south than Columbus, though, so I didn't have any problems. -- Seth Peck (talk) 16:40, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Well, I'm glad you're alright. I've been through tornadoes and they're not thrilling in the good way. My dad got caught in one just last year on his way home from work, one that missed my house by single-digit miles. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 22:46, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Oh, you the Executive Producer![edit]

Why don't you executive produce me a latté, DECRACKENATED?! One of the old regulars at the "Y" this morning, who normally has Faux News on, was watching Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back today. --Edgerunner76Your views are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter 13:36, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Well, that's two different worlds, isn't it? No, it is Fucky. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 15:01, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Newsmax[edit]

I'm no fan of Newsmax (and certainly have no affiliation), but some of the information on the Newsmax page just isn't true any more. Richard Rahn no longer contributes to the site. And I'm not sure how the site's views can be categorized as America besieged by "filthy sodomites, evil terrorists, and diseased illegal aliens." They re-run AP articles and summaries from mainstream outlets like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and others. Yes, they are definitely right-wing promoters, but I don't think they are on the fringe. I just object to the tarring and feathering when the site has no references from the past three years, and some of the references are more than a decade old. — Unsigned, by: Drabekkyle / talk / contribs

Fair enough, just wholesale deletions without explanation are generally frowned upon. I am fairly unfamiliar with the content of Newsmax myself, so perhaps a discussion of the content on the page's affiliated talk page is in order?
