2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!
Donations so far: $7608.77Goal: $10000

Shouldn't there be one for "not very good" or similar? It's a fairly common reason for deletion. €₳$£ΘĪÐWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 14:42, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Snowball Clause[edit]

I suggest we add something like this. (For anyone who doesn't know, the "Snowball Clause" refers to articles which "don't have a snowball's chance in hell" of being kept.) Usually reserved for one/two-liners that have nothing to do with the mission, from drive-by editors who mistake us for Wikipedia. Blue (is useful) 15:28, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Do we need a tech to change it? Herr FüzzyCätPötätö (talk/stalk) 20:53, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Possibly. I can't and I'm a mod. Let's ask at the saloon bar. BicyclewheelModerator 18:34, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Remove author request[edit]

Not sure that gets any usage. I also suggest replacing it with something along the lines of "Own page", as in, you are deleting a page you made. Since many users are sysops, they do not need to request for that to happen and can do it themselves. —Kazitor, pending 05:51, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
