2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

RationalWiki talk:The great Youtube purge

Suggestion[edit]

Have a list somewhere 'The 2018 list of YouTube entries retired from RW' - to avoid repeated create-deletes (and for 'suitably bored persons' to keep an eye on in case they suddenly become notable again) - and repeat elsewhere if relevant. Anna Livia (talk) 17:34, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

But isn't that the point of a properly-written delete log that you see before you create the page? --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 18:20, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Sometimes a specific list is more convenient.
As there is a RW page on YT a link from there here would suffice (and adding the year in the expectation of a future clear-out might be appropriate). Anna Livia (talk) 20:19, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Well I did a full audit of the Youtube category to get the list, see User:Dysklyver/youtubers to be deleted. This could be copied and adapted perhaps into some kind of index. This seems a reasonably good idea. — Dysk (contribs) 22:53, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
And having a dateline (or a longer list with '2018 deletions, 2019 deletions...') enables 'this person/presentation has had increasing views influence since, so restore.' Anna Livia (talk) 12:14, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
