The Donald[edit]

To what extent does The Donald merge 'dislike of him' with this phobia? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 15:50, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

I find it funny that wing nuts confuse legit criticism of your country with hating your country[edit]

I have plenty of criticisms about my country's domestic and foreign policies but I still love my country and am happy to stand up for it. It is not perfect and it does have plenty of problems but that does not equal hate. --Non-Binary EAS Creator (talk) 01:58, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

This is a stupid article[edit]

Typically speaking many people in the Middle East have plenty of reason to hate the US, and to boil down all anti-American sentiment in the Mideast as being due to "radical Islamism" is an obvious and offensive oversimplification. People in Iraq hate the US because: a) the entire fucking Iraq War (destabilization of the region, deaths of hundreds of thousands, brutality of our brave defenders of 'Murican freedom, pilfering of the country's resources for profit et cetera) b) obvious disregard for Iraqi sovereignty (Iraq War again, the drone strikes, assassination of Soleimani et cetera). In general people in the Middle East hate the US for many reasons, including its unequivocal support for Israel and to a lesser, quieter extent the Saudis, constant American interventions (Iran hates the US because of, among other things, the coup overthrowing Mossadegh, backing the Shah, and the crippling economic sanctions levied against Iran) whether quiet (lending support to the coup that overthrew Mossadegh) or not (Iraq War). This article is in desperate need of a rewrite, at the least. Carthage (talk) 10:54, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Regardless of where the feeling behind the ideas originated from it doesn't justify the overcorrection. There are people who seriously think "you are American" is a good rebuttal against any given argument beyond a flippant joke. Chillpilled (talk) 12:29, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Overcorrection? So you think that leaving out context and leaving in strawmen is a good idea? At the very least, we should explain why anti-American sentiment is so prevalent. Carthage (talk) 07:11, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
