Good?[edit]

I have been inclined to think of this man as a monster. Have to say, not impressed with the good pile.

"Helped Tricky Dick open relations with China"

Mixed, also kicked Taiwan out of UN. Mao was the biggest mass murderer in history.

" and begin detente policies such as SALT."

Good. Definitely a point in his favour.

" Aided in the transition from British colonial rule to independence in Rhodesia."

African independence, sounds good right? Actually in this case no. Rhodesia wanted independence because it was an inherently racist state, and the UK actually wanted a transition which would favour black Africans. Ian Smith's white minority government caused problems leading to Robert Mugabe today.

" Took part in the negotiations to end the 1973 Yom Kippur War."

Can't comment on this other than as an ethnic Jew he was partisan. -Albannach (talk) 00:47, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

I took out the Rhodesia bit. The rest I don't feel qualified to comment about. When Roosevelt came to the land of the hummingbird, shouts of welcome were heard!. 01:03, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
"Mixed, also kicked Taiwan out of UN. Mao was the biggest mass murderer in history." You mean the Dictatorship Period Taiwain? And irrelevant what Mao was, so was stalin, should we have left the soviets completely alone to do whatever as well, even if it flew against any kind of rational decision making?
"Can't comment on this other than as an ethnic Jew he was partisan." I know plenty of Ethnic Jews who hate Israel for whatever reasons, whats your point?

People he aspired to be[edit]

I've heard rumors that Kissinger favorite European political figure was none other than Prince Metternich. Is there anyway to varify if that's true or not? Because that would interesting if it is. Alsto003 (talk) 03:00, 12 August 2014 (UTC) Alex

I've read that his favorite historical statesmen were Metternich and Bismarck. The source is reliable, but it is a Danish History of the world after 1945 (until 1973, the year of publishing). The author, Erling Bjøl, is reliable, but I don't know how often I can cite him: I've already used him once. :-) Sorte Slyngel (talk) 20:35, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
See Kissinger's, A World RestoredWikipedia, originally his doctoral disertation in 1954. In context, the 1919 Treaty of Versailles failed, and there was no peace treaty after 1945. Kissinger's focus on the Concert of EuropeWikipedia examined why the Congress of Vienna was successful for 100 years whereas the Treaty of Versailles and the UN Charter failed (between 1950-53 the UN was at war with the USSR, which had a seat on the Security Council but didn't bother to veto the Security Council Resolution to use force in Korea, such was the seriousness and esteem the Soviet Union held FDR's Grand Design for world peace in the nuclear age).nobsGary Johnson for Rehab! 20:31, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
In order not to revive another discussion, this is about the above: Kissinger deliberately stayed out of the Middle East as much as he could because he's Jewish. He flatly said: If the Israelis had started the war, they wouldn't have got as much as a nail in support. Golda Meir was aware of that. Sorte Slyngel (talk) 20:39, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Bernie Sanders[edit]

LMFAO! I don't know who added that, but good job.

If Henry Kissinger praises how your foreign policy is, you have a shit foreign policy. Can't believe Clinton's running on that.

Christmas with the Clinton's[edit]

So Henry celebrates the birth of Jesus with the Clinton family. Now that's news.nobsGary Johnson for Rehab! 20:16, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
