Appropriate comic[edit]

Maybe it would be nice to crop the panel from this about hyperloop and use it. Too busy at the moment. I might get around to it later. --Ymir (talk) 22:20, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Vactrains are better[edit]

If they ever plan to build a transatlantic or transpacific tunnel, it needs to far faster than the hypersonic commercial aircraft that will probably be the norm by then. A vactrain would be way less stressful than a hyperloop, and could go at 5000 mph. So, yeah, the future is vactrains, not hyperloops. Well, part of the future. Most of the future is being dead. -Bigljbigl (talk/stalk) 06:24, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

@Bigljbigl I seriously doubt the feasibility of a transatlantic tunnel. A transpacific tunnel will not only be longer but will also have to be able to deal with earthquakes. Continental subway trains require a massive amount of supporting infrastructure compared to passenger jets. We have already had supersonic commercial airliners, and now they are coming back with less noise. Nerd (talk) 17:49, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
I've a vague recollection of seeing a TV crapumentary at least partially on the subject of a Transatlantic tunnel, though I cannot now recall – due to loathsome drunkenness/moral turpitude/galloping senescence – recall the details of how “they” proposed to make it work. Looping the loop[edit]

A case of more hyper-bole than hyper-loop? Anna Livia (talk) 16:35, 22 January 2018 (UTC)

Unfair[edit]

All Musk has to do with this is publishing a PDF stating that it is possible. It's definitely not the only thing he does, so it seems unfair to redirect "Elon Musk" here. It's as if somebody looked for anything bad about him. At most it could be mentioned as reverse stopped clock. — Unsigned, by: 62.245.80.77 / talk

Is 'reverse stopped clock' necessarily the right term? It might fall into the factual equivalent of the science fiction category of speculative fiction.
And - don't complain about the absence of a page on EM: sign in and create one (that is reasonably related to the theme of the wiki). Anna Livia (talk) 18:24, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Ye Olde Shit Show[edit]

Yonder! (Noting in particular the 'rampant axe wielding'-part of the story)! 217.119.171.154 (talk) 06:09, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
