Flat tax[edit]
15% across the board will solve the deficit. No exceptions of any kind should be offered. Too many people don't pay any taxes, especially all the Mexicans of Medicaid. They aren't even supposed to be here, why are they collecting welfare? Talsley (talk) 16:12, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well, the first two words of that have some truth value. ADK...I'll spit your mop! 16:18, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- You have the typical attitude of the communist. By over taxing the productive members of society you remove all motivation to excel. Look at Europe, they haven't invented anything since they rejected capitalism. There is no middle class in Europe, only those in power and the welfare recipients. When was the last time you saw something "Made in England?" Talsley (talk) 16:22, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- a) When did Europe reject capitalism?
- b) See Scandinavia's employment rate, then compare to the US.
- c) When was the last time you saw something "Made in America?" But wait, China owns a good chunk of the US now anyway, so you can technically say that you produce some of the goods they make.
- d) Trolololo. Problem?
- e) Si!

- Nice try. No developed nation has adopted libertarianism, and for good reason. Osaka Sun (talk) 23:13, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
- a) Europeans rejected capitalism as soon as the Berlin Wall fell.
- b) They do not count government workers as unemployed. There is no private sector is Scandinavia. Everyone works for the government, a form of welfare.
- c) My Colt .45 is made in America, so is my car.
- d) Unreliable sources
- e) Socialist propaganda. Every socialist society requires a slave class. Talsley (talk) 23:51, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

- Capitalism. Please name something invented by Europe in the past 2 or three decades since they became hedonistic socialists. Talsley (talk) 22:10, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- The web. It was invented by a CERN scientist (not the internet though). Peter Monomorium antarcticum 22:11, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- The scanning tunneling microscope, viagra, translucent concrete, genetic fingerprinting, stealth plane detection...meanwhile in America: the mighty, all-conquering...segway! Rennie McGreet (talk) 22:32, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

- Speaking of CERN - there's that really big round thing that uses up all that electricty and makes little black holes to kill us all! GodotGrow a vagina 22:13, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, and not a single British or Swiss bank needed a bailout due to bad decisions as a result of unregulated socialism. -- Seth Peck (talk) 22:14, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- OK, don't get too high on your horse there, buddy. swiss banks are generally just a bunch of fucking crooks. they are as deregulated as anything. They don't need "bailouts" cause they aren't playing in the same stratosphere. ;-)
- And on that note, just to amuse talsey, the French invented both the morning after pill and ru-486! wheeeee! and gay marriage!!! and they invented gay mayors! so it's all good. GodotGrow a vagina 22:17, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Payroll tax[edit]
What's the difference between a payroll tax and an income tax? Surely a payroll tax is an income tax assessed on your pay? That's how I pay my income tax in the UK, PAYE deducts my income tax directly from my pay.
