2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Ermakova I.V., Doctor of Biological Sciences (2001)

Apparently, this is because psychology is in Russia is considered a subfield of biology. I don't know a lot of Russian, but I can understand that the subject of her "candidate thesis" (master's thesis?) as given on the Russian Wikipedia is related to psychology and neuroscience, more specifically visual perception, not genetics. Her doctoral thesis is about regenerative processes in transplanted neural tissue. Neither of these appear related to genetics. I will change her description to "neuroscientist". --Tweenk (talk) 01:50, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
