Talk:Jey McCreight
I can't[edit]
I can't believe there is no RW article on boobquake!--Weirdstuff (talk) 10:13, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- Wasn't boobquake just a one-off thing? However, feel free to add relevant boobs to this article. Lots of them. SophieWilder 10:29, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- I'm no so sure such additions would help. In any event "boobquake" epitomises the conflict between "Hey look I'm liberated from the ancient shackles of male domination" and "Hey, look, I can see her tits."
- Anyway, I'll get a neutral stub off tomorrow - unless somebody beasts me to it. :-) --Weirdstuff (talk) 14:42, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Third option?[edit]
At the moment the article is a very short stub that only briefly talks about McCreight/Boobquake. A previous version was set up by ListenerX and eventually reverted by ZooGuard with the comment "is it me, or on this particular article, the "knockers" joke is in particularly bad taste?". The article with ListenerX's expansion was probably better in that it included more information, but was not very indepth and relied on boob jokes. I'm working on a third option by pulling some info from relevant wiki pages. If that isn't sufficient, I'd suggest just delete the page and redirect to the A+ article.--Token Conservative (talk) 17:04, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
- It needs some more work. The Atheism+ section repeats the same mistake as the Atheism+ article - retelling McCreight's post instead of putting A+'s creation in the broader context of the controversies raging at the time. Her self-imposed blog hiatus (due to depression triggered by the trolling) also needs to be mentioned.--ZooGuard (talk) 18:13, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I really only had the existing article and the wikipedia article on Boobquake to go on, or it would probably be more about her, and less about boobquake. --Token Conservative (talk) 21:27, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Name Change[edit]
Hey, we need to change the name of this article. While their name has been changed in the body of the text, as well as pronouns, we should change the name of this entry. I'm kind of new to wiki editing, how would one go about doing this along with a redirect? Monochroma (talk) 20:42, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
Jey_McCreight#Attack_by_Roosh[edit]
- Moved from Saloon Bar#Jey_McCreight#Attack_by_Roosh
Why the fuck is Jey_McCreight#Attack_by_Roosh a section? Roosh is basically a nobody (and so is McCreight). I get that RationalWiki wants to document both of these people, but they really aren't notable (I'm coming from Wikipedia's definition of notability). Roosh's commentary about McCreight isn't notable, and I tried to get it deleted but ran into edit filters that prevented deletion. Why is RationalWiki platforming Roosh's comments about McCreight? 2600:6C40:5900:10B6:9978:9E80:96D5:C27E (talk) 03:35, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- We're not Wikipedia. Carthage (talk) 03:49, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- Roosh may be a nobody now, but when that was written (looks like over a decade ago), I remember he had, at least I think, almost an Andrew Tate figurehead status in the manosphere, at least in relative terms (online misogyny in some vague sense may have actually gotten more widespread so it might not be directly comparable; Tate has also been somewhat disgraced even in the manosphere). - Both Roosh V and Jey McCreight are notable enough for Wikipedia anyways. (McCreight, not on her own, but she is prominent in the Boobquake article.) As for the section in the RW article itself, I have no opinion one way or the other, other than that the YouTube Roosh V video that makes up that giant quote is perhaps irreversibly bitrotted away.
