Talk:Massacres in the name of a peaceful faith
While fine if you want to do a huge attack on religion for messed up reasons, I don't think it needs to be titled "by creationists" as that's mostly irrelevant to the massarcing and war pepetuated in the name of something. ArmondikoVsshole 15:41, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- You've probably got a point. I was having a go at (and to be honest, reacting to) Demeyer's use of the Kiebold picture. Perhaps a retitling is in order. Yours trulyDear Sir 15:53, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yeah. Put it as a "see also" on the examples of God personally killing people article or something. ArmondikoVsshole 15:57, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- Good idea, but not until a better title comes along. Ideas anyone? Yours trulyDear Sir 16:01, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

Either something like a "Violence perpetrated in the name of allegedly peaceful religions" kind of thing--or with a link/screenshot of the CP bit that inspired it and written as a direct response? CreamTwoSugars 16:04, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- That would mean a move to Conservapedia:space, or maybe essay. I'm not keen on the latter, even though it is basically me getting things off my chest. you title is on better lines than mine but a little long. "Massacres carried out in the name of God" perhaps? Yours truly
- Dear Sir 16:11, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- Title long, yes, but it's the clash between violence and the "peacefulness" that you want to bring out..."God's love and violence"? "Peaceful religions, not so much"? I dunno...CreamTwoSugars 16:14, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- "Massacres (or "Killing") in the name of a peaceful faith" sounds ok - I think "allegedly" looks awkward in titles. Yours trulyDear Sir 16:24, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

The back and forth murder of Israeli Jews and Palestinian Muslims based on a mythical claim to the Holy Land.[edit]
Yeah, that's being awfully reductive. Nationalism has as much if not more to do with it. And there are Palestinian Christians involved too. Theory of Practice Peer-reviewed articles for everybody! 02:47, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- It depends on the intent of the list. Is it in the name of or caused by a "peaceful faith." Certainly, the former is (in some instances) correct and the latter is false. There are other ambiguous ones on this list too. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 02:52, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Should there be an explanation in the article...[edit]
...as to why people murder in the name of peace? 156.34.57.214 (talk) 01:51, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
Unclear reference removed[edit]
A BoN added a reference to "Cristeros and hierarchy: variations of the same topic Agustรญn Vaca" under the heading "Massacres in the name of secular humanism." The subject PDF is found here but is in Spanish and I can't tell if this is an appropriate citation for the article or not, so I've removed it from the article until someone can give some context justifying this. โcosmikdebris talk stalk 12:36, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- The source is blatant Catholic propaganda and in no way reliable. I can't tell who the author is supposed to be affiliated with. He seems to be a nobody.
