Quick request, if anyone cares: I'm still unsure on how to attach an image to the wiki, but if someone could stick the photo of Vavilov on this page, that would be amazing of them. If that's allowed; I'm still a bit fuzzy on Wiki copyleft. Nobby 00:18, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Who controls the past controls the future[edit]

Lysenkoism was "made official in 1948... As a direct result of this, Vavilov was imprisoned for “ruining Soviet agriculture” and died of malnutrition in 1943." call for vote on an issue[edit]

This discussion was moved here from RationalWiki:Saloon Bar.

this user readded awards and recognitions section in Nikolai Vavilov with the motive and logic displayed in edit summary of revision 1755497 and 1757160 with the revisions reverted by user JorisEnter. with the motive of avoiding continuation of any edit war, this user is calling for a vote regarding the proposal displayed in edit summary. "the awards, recognitions and punishments various persons received for practicing science, rationalism and logical thought process are worth mentioning regardless of interest of readers for the purposes of "rationality" and thus should be included in article."FAMAS (talk) 17:59, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

this user requests all to vote with bold words "support" or "oppose".FAMAS (talk) 18:00, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
At ease, user. I don't see a list of awards you are proposing on other scientists' pages. It appears that the practice is to let scientists stand and fall by the merits of their science rather than their awards. Oppose Hertzy (talk) 13:20, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
in reply to user Hertzy, this user posted the policy poll in the saloon bar as a method to clarify the stance of rationalwiki regarding the matter for all persons who received awards and punishments for practicing science, rationalism and logical process. user JorisEnter moved it to this talk page.FAMAS (talk) 08:19, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
