This is terrible and I will destroy it.--ADtalkModerator 00:20, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Why does this article look like Ed wrote it? Ugh. --The Emperor Kneel before Zod! 00:28, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
To paraphrase User 188, "Why not improve it(not difficult?) instead of deleting it". It's a wiki. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 00:40, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I'm going to improve it, not delete it. But almost everything there right now is terrible and will be destroyed with great wrath, Yahweh-style. This page called me a baldhead and so now bears are going to ravish it. This page has no figs and so it will wither. I'm going to turn this motherfucker to salt.--ADtalkModerator 00:42, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
How could you possible remove the lyrics to Bruces' Philosophy Song? That was his claim to fame. - π 00:50, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
I don't know what that is, but pop that joke back in if you want.--ADtalkModerator 01:00, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't remember if it was here or somewhere else, but whenever I hear "Rene Descartes" I think "was a boring old fart" and try to remember the rest. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:02, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Nice work Tom. Big improvement so far. TheoryOfPractice (talk) 01:05, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:02, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Likewise agree. This is now a sweet article... It really makes me want to read up on him --TheEgyptiansig001.png 21:13, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

I don't see a point in having the facetious part about Descartes being "a drunken old fart," even if it was crossed out. A simple Google search shows multiple sources saying that Descartes for the most part abstained from alcohol consumption.Nasmith1234 (talk) 03:29, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

So, you might not be familiar with this concept, so I'll explain it in small words. Here on "Earth," we "human beings" occasionally enjoy things called "jokes." The passage in question is a "joke," and as such, people may like to keep it in the article. Shall we go, you and I while we can/Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds? 03:36, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
The dry, objective (and dull) presentation of facts is what "The other wiki" is for. At RW we presume our readership are able to distinguish between humour and accuracy without any effort, particularly if the item has been crossed out. VOXHUMANA 03:39, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
