Wow![edit]

When you've pissed off Conservapedia and RationalWiki in equal measure, it's generally a sign that you're winning at life. Not sure why the leftist-controlled Wikipedia give him such a glowing write-up though. I'm assuming they hope he'll make the primary because they think he'll be easier to beat than Trump but I don't fancy Biden's chances given the fact that the man barely seems to even know where he is half the time. Also, unlike Trump, he seems mostly sane. He's definitely got my vote for 2024! --46.101.17.138 (talk) 13:19, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

Yawn. Also, lol at DeSantis being sane. Arcadium Trancefer (talk) 18:05, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

TYT claims that the Rebekah Jones story is false[edit]

Do we care what The Young Turks said? The sources for all Rebekah Jones claims in the article are from NPR and Washington Post, respectively. The Young Turks really isn't a good source IMHO (not complete trash but meh on accuracy).
Just skimming the Young Turks video (I really don't want to watch a 20 minute video to figure out what they said, so if this is wrong, please correct), I think they are correcting a recent event regarding her son, who was arrested due to concerns he would engage in a mass shooting. Jones tried to claim that this was retaliation from Ron DeSantis. Mainstream media actually was rather skeptical of the claims, [1] from what I can tell, and I agree that Jones' claim seems, well, wrong. But there was certainly the usual stupid social media cheerleading from what I remember.
This of course would not invalidate the earlier alleged retaliation claim over the COVID dashboard, of course. BobJohnson (talk) 18:27, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
The Tallahassee Democrat also doubted the dashboard story FWIW: https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/2022/05/27/rebekkah-jones-report-fails-support-claims-florida-covid-19-data-doctored/9953780002/ 209.171.85.165 (talk) 20:41, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

I must say I'm amused by how this has gotten those Nazis' panties in a bunch. 4chan and Goyim Defense LeagueWikipedia people in particular are quite upset. Chillpilled (talk) 17:23, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Economy[edit]

Not confident on how to formulate this. But there are some more articles out about this lately:

In addition, such a section should probably have a mention of the economic consequences of the state's anti-immigration crackdown. A surprising proportion of Florida's manual laborers (including in construction and agriculture, key industries) are immigrants (just a sample of articles about this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The immigration bill is forcing many to leave and seek work elsewhere; my speculation is this is contributing to inflation here. There is already an anti-immigration section on this article but it doesn't seem mostly focused on the economic impacts. Chillpilled (talk) 11:53, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
