I found a quote mine on Conservapedia[edit]
In medical practice, there are few surgical procedures given so little attention and so underrated in its potential hazards as abortion. It is a commonly held view that complications are inevitable.
- {{{2}}} At least I assume it's a quote mine. It's just the kind of statement that seems like it could have a totally different meaning if you read the next sentence. Here's their source...--User:Brxbrx/sig 20:04, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Do you ever feel like putting up a "Steve" list in response to crap like this. This cite lists 10 complications due to abortion - wanna now how many of those very complications happen during pregnancy, labor, failed labor (ie., c-section), etc? grrr... cause trust me, the number of women who die from complications of birth is far higher than those who die from complications of abortion. like magnitudes higher. (assuming i actually know what the math is behind a 'magnitude'). En attendant Godot 20:14, 8 September 2011 (UTC) (googling the quote from Hern. it does sound like something he said, cause he's always advocating for better training, free / easy (not in cost but free in the sense of legal and non harrassed) access to abortion, etc.En attendant Godot 20:14, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- here's where it's from "http://books.google.com/books?id=30EzZPp1ypYC&pg=PA470&lpg=PA470&dq=In+medical+practice,+there+are+few+surgical+procedures+given+so+little+attention+and+so+underrated+in+its+potential+hazards+as+abortion.+It+is+a+commonly+held+view+that+complications+are+inevitable.&source=bl&ots=Oqshp-iSQV&sig=NpyahSSGeLpQfT53s7qkRZT582k&hl=en&ei=TCJpTtG7FaGusAKSs73_DQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CE4Q6AEwCDgK#v=onepage&q&f=false" page 470. And of course, here's the rest. "The reasons for this are not difficult to find. Abortion has been a stigmatized operation by the medical community for centuries. Medical teaching facilities have considered abortion too simple a procedure to merrit serious instruction and too taboo, to warrant true discussion... yeah quote mines.En attendant Godot 20:22, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- {ec}Great work, Godot. I'll be sure to prod them on it once their database is unlocked (seriously, I can't edit. I'm not blocked, and is it really already considered night time?)--User:Brxbrx/sig 20:25, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Ahhhh, research! First I assumed he wrote it, but it was quote mined, so on that assumption I "googled" in a Science Citation Index. "google scholar" also had it.En attendant Godot 20:31, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Brx - they lock down the system at night? fuck they are paranoid. En attendant Godot 20:32, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Exactly why isn't this bronze level?[edit]
I've seen the brozne around here. This was even before Nutty's changes, decently well written, well researched, connected and relevant to the wiki at large. What gives?GodotThe Peyote God awaits 22:25, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
