Talk:Work ethic
Conservapedia[edit]
This article was still in progress on Conservapaedia when the paidia there blocked me off. Will someone help me finish this, or will I have to do it alone?! — Unsigned, by: JanusGenio / talk / contribs
- I would, but I have work to do. Yours trulyDear Sir 05:25, 20 January 2009 (EST)
Misson Statement Doubt[edit]
Maybe move to essay or fun? I'm not really sure this should be in the mainspace. --Arcan ¡ollǝɥ 06:56, 20 January 2009 (EST)
- I don't think this is a bad subject matter for an entry here - it isn't directly on-mission, but the work ethic does relate to lots of common ideas in religion & politics. But I don't like the growing trend for people starting articles at CP & then dropping them on us here. Our purpose is completely different to theirs. I think the office & office etiquette ones should be scrapped. This one needs to be rewritten & RationalWikified a bit, & all the red links to articles we will never have taken out of it.
Also, is this researched or just made up like most of the stuff at CP? The work ethic is a modern concept? Really??WéáśéĺóíďMethinks it is a Weasel 07:10, 20 January 2009 (EST)
- I retract comment above about it being made up, as I see some research has gone into this, although I don't agree about the work ethic being a modern phenomenon. Also, I think you're conflating the work ethic with notions about accumulating wealth (i.e. capitalism), which isn't exactly what it means. Anyhoo, I'm attempting a rewrite. Wéáśéĺóíď

No, not really[edit]
I'm thinking of how to make my articles sarcastic and hilarious - yet still better than the ones at Wikipedia and definitely Conservapedia. I'm at a loss on what to do, but I guess......a scathing commentary on work ethics going horribly wrong would be quite all right, right?JanusGenio 07:08, 20 January 2009 (EST)
Criticism...[edit]
...and with criticism I mean my own thoughts. Yay? Nay? Sen 15:22, 20 January 2009 (EST)

'We pretend to work, they pretend to pay us' is also a work ethic. 31.51.113.88 (talk) 10:50, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
