Template talk:Did You Know
Bongolian suggested we should have a did you know template, so here's a draft.--Кřěĵ (ṫåɬк) 09:45, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- This place is getting more like Wikipedia all the time. Bicyclewheel 10:50, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's a tiny bit (pseudo)linguistics-heavy, but I guess something like this could be used on the main page?--JorisEnter (talk) 11:07, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- Could we please make it not turqoise? Other than that, great work! Reverend Black Percy (talk) 15:37, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

- Thank you, Krej! Bongolian (talk) 16:09, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
My problem with this is that it would end up not getting updated. WP's own Did You know has slowed to a crawl over the last couple of years. Bicyclewheel 17:03, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
Adherence to sources[edit]
I think it's very important that we ensure that the "Did You Know" snippets don't turn into a dumping ground for half-truths and rumors. How can this be ensured? Reverend Black Percy (talk) 12:08, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- Are there any half-truths and rumors right now that I inadvertently added?--Кřěĵ (ṫåɬк) 12:31, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
The "were you aware" joke[edit]
Jon Stewart made a similar joke in one of his books. And we don't link to copyright nearly enough. I also wanted to give it a lower weight so that encountering becomes an ultra rare thing. A bit like an huevo de pascua. Worzelpete (talk) 22:55, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- In that case, I added a link to the Jon Stewart article so it's (I hope) more obvious it's a reference.--Кřěĵ (ṫåɬк) 02:48, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Placement on RW?[edit]
Now that the template has over 100 entries, could it be placed somewhere like the main page or the recent changes?--Кřěĵ (ṫåɬк) 01:04, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
