Coloring[edit]
@Plutocow, good new sidebar, though the full-intensity yellow looks a bit uncomfortable to me. I think it would be good to darken the yellow a little. I've experimented for a while with previewing darkened colors, also comparing to other sidebars, and ended up with this slightly grayed and moderately darkened variation looking better to me (though tastes may differ): barcolor = #F4F44F
, bgcolor = #F4F1A7
. But I think the icon would need a slightly different adjusted yellow (still darkened but less grayed) to go along with the white. --ApooftGnegiol (talk) 13:28, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Plutocow, I agree with @ApooftGnegiol that the colouring is a bit uncomfortable. It certainly would be much better if the yellow were darkened. It just looks a bit strange. --Papaemeritus (talk) 10:48, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Plutocow made the change I suggested (before, after), which makes the yellows more grayed and pale, but maybe my suggestion wasn't so good. It made the black text for headings look better, but the icon (with white foreground) is still the same (and my suggested colors would be too bright for it).
- Other sidebars use white text for headings, not black, so that the same colors fit the icon with its white foreground too. I think it's best to ignore my old suggestion. Maybe just re-do it for white text, with a dark enough yellow, and it'll fit the icon too. --ApooftGnegiol (talk) 20:13, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
