What??
It's weird to go so far back and remove things so tame.
There's also no reason to revdel spam.
The site still hosts it, even if you "delete" it
There is no utility in hiding spam from public view. No one here is expected to hide an edit unless in contains obscenity and/or personal attacks, or personal information.
I don't see why not, it really seems that spammed links to external sites should be hidden so that no one (at least without appropriate permissions) can find them. IF you look at other types of website that host user content, spam that is removed is hidden from public view.
EDIT: I actually don't see anything wrong with hiding spam. Surely spam should not be publically viewable.
The community standards establish the only reason for a revdel is personal information. The rest is you reading too much into guidelines on deleting pages that exist only to spam.
If a page exists only to spam, it gets deleted and is not publically viewable. Yet other spam just gets reverted and remains publically viewable.
Yes, that exactly.
Ideally pages witch are spam would still be visible too, it's just impossible to achieve using this software.
This is a simple matter of transparency, it doesn't make any personal difference to me I can see deleted stuff anyway.
There is such a thing as ForgiveAndForget. If pages that are spam should be visible too, they could just be blanked.
Sadly there's no way then to deal with the titles being spam, or the fact it still appears as a page when searching.
But then I didn't design this software or write the guidelines for using it, I am just pointing out that people here think your approach to spam is a little unusual.
