Why not have Pibot do the heavy lifting when it comes to archiving? --PsyGremlin말하십시오 19:21, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Because today, the robots archive our talk. Tomorrow, they travel back in time and try to kill Sarah Connor. Just saying. Blue Talk 00:00, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

5 month block[edit]

Are you leaving? If so, I hope you come back someday. --Onion <talk> 19:36, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

As do I. What happened? You were by far one of the coolest people here after you returned. Come back! Please? See, I said please. You have to come back! Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 13:56, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
This is what happened... then I returned. Blue Talk 00:04, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Is it true you are cool enough to let us vandalize your userpage? Much like my PunchingBag account? That's freakin' sweet! Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 08:41, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Quite true. Wandalisms, vandalisms, sandalisms, I want it all. Blue Talk 02:05, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

For what it's worth....[edit]

I'm going to be careful here, so that the drama doesn't follow me here, but I think you were being genuinely helpful with what you said on Human's talkpage about his use of rollback. It was something that, had I been around, I would have done myself. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 16:55, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, thanks. I kept trying to be level-headed... difficult when you're being called "silly," vindictive, and stupid. I think, like LX, that even though I was originally not in favor of anything but a friendly warning, Human's way of responding to complaints has made me angrier. Blue Talk 17:04, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
I understand. Human's conduct on the Wiki can be considered highly irrational at times, to say the least. Since I am a late-comer to this, I'm gonna try to moderate this situation from an outsider's cool-headed perspective. Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 17:13, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Cool-headed? on RW? Ha! Never! Scarlet A.pngmoral 17:19, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Somewhat agreed. The chicken's head may have been cool, but it was cut off a while ago. Blue Talk 17:54, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

pat on the back[edit]

Cookie half.jpg For demonstrating exemplary goatery in the line of duty, Nx
has awarded you a used pre-owned! and slightly stale cookie.
Cockroaches ate half of it.

thanks for clogging up recent changes with your useful edits. -- Nx / talk 04:45, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

My, that cookie looks delicious. and thanks. clogging is my specialty. Blue Talk 04:54, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
BUT! If you create a BlueBot (bluebottle?) - I'll make it a bot & then you can hide. 00:01, 13 October 2010 (UTC) SusanG Toast
Why not just make me a bot? I'd hate to not get accreditation for my editing... Blue Talk 00:02, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
It'd be better if I made you a 'crat, but I ain't gonna get embroiled in all that hassleRulez.gif. If I make you a bot, someone'd have to be around to de-bot you when you'd finished filling Rc up. Smiley.gif — Unsigned, by: SusanG / talk / contribs
For the record, that gif is one of my favorites on the wiki (: And I've finished my category splurge now, so no more clogging for now. Blue Talk 00:13, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Minor request[edit]

When you go on a catting binge, can you make yourself, or have yourself made, a bot, so we can see the rest of what's going on? No big deal, but it's usually how we do such things. ħumanUser talk:Human 02:38, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, I'm not a 'crat, so I suppose I should have a bot account made, right? Blue Talk 02:58, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
If you like, sure. Or just ask a friendly 'crat to do and undo it. If you want to create a bot account (I think a crat has to make it a bot?) just ask. You're probably almost done by now anyway... or are you? ħumanUser talk:Human 03:01, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
H, see the section above. 03:03, 13 October 2010 (UTC) SusanG Toast
(EC) Was going to say that. Blue Talk 03:07, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
We can always just crat Blue temporarily rather than worrying about the botting/unbotting, and then forget to decrat her. ħumanUser talk:Human 03:15, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Heh. I'm flattered and appreciate it, but on principle I'd rather be subject to nomination/community approval. And I'm going to continue to work on cats, it's a long-term project of mine. Blue Talk 03:37, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
If you want to create a BlueBottle or some such user, just ask any convenient 'crat to bot it, if you want. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:11, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Hmm. I'd rather not make a separate bot account for a variety of good reasons... I dunno. Temporary cratship in modo probationis? Blue Talk 04:18, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
That's what I was suggesting. Decratting at the end, or not, is another story. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:24, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Knock yourself out. Don't be surprised if I get keel-hauled for this, but that's not your problem. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:27, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
I was thinking some kind of probationary demotion, and at the end the mob can step in. Blue Talk 04:34, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, as was I. Go play chemistry experiments at Special Pages/User Rights Mismanagement. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:39, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

It would be nice if I was made a bot to, I don't want to spam recent changes. --Onion <talk> 18:09, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

I want not comment on it. I think polite post.

Minor request 2[edit]

So, when do I become an sysop? -Aswh1 (talk) 03:19, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Heh. Should be right about now -ish. Or very soon -ish. Blue Talk 03:21, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Hurry up. I'm supposed to be meeting someone for lunch at 3. I'll probably get a 6 inch ham and cheese, toasted. -Aswh1 (talk)
Ah. I'm not strictly "authorized" to use these awesome 'crat powers Rulez.gif on anyone but myself, otherwise I'd do it straightaway. :( I hear Gooniepunk2010 is around, though. Blue Talk 03:28, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Rulez.gif <--- that is a remarkable gif. -Aswh1 (talk) 03:37, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
It's one of my favorites. Along with Francis.gif Coffee spray.gif and a few others... Blue Talk 03:42, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Unlike the communists at WP, you guys actually have class.-Aswh1 (talk) 03:56, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Lol. Usually, "asking" is the worst way to get sysopped. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:01, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Aswh - was that meant to be a complement to RW, a joke about communism being a classless society, or both?
Human - I recall Jellyfish (where did he go?) was demoted by asking so vociferously (: Blue Talk 04:06, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Demotion is pretty cool. How low can you go... - RW dunce.
I'm bad with subtle sarcasm. You get our whole demotion=promotion thing right? Blue Talk 04:13, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Shh, I need to look good for my RFA. I'm also sick of adding indents. -Aswh1 (talk) 04:15, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Someone is also having trouble typing tildes after their posts... ħumanUser talk:Human 05:06, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Props to whoever came up with the 'saloon bar' idea. I reckon WP should adopt a similar feature. -Aswh1 (talk) 05:34, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

I think they have the Village Pump or something. But there are 100,000 of them, and only 100 of us, so it works here. ħumanUser talk:Human 06:24, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah but it's not the same. -Aswh1 (talk) 06:30, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Minor request 3[edit]

Since you seem to decatting and recatting the entire site, perhaps you could discuss your aims and plans with the group? ħumanUser talk:Human 03:49, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

I am trying to declutter and streamline the system. We have a few hugely bloated categories, like category:politics, and I'm trying to divide them further into subcategories. The vast majority of my adjustments have been working toward that goal, like removing category:history from an article and replacing it with category:United States history, or removing category:politics and adding category:political terms. Blue Talk 04:00, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
OK, but such acts might need to be run by the community, I think? For instance, I see no problem with the "bloated" cats - why not have every article on politics be in cat:politics? Of course with the smaller cats as well on the article. I guess I'm a bit of an "inclusivist" when it comes to cats. People may agree with what you are doing, I'm not saying they won't, but changing hundreds (thousands?) of cats without talking to anyone else about it might come across as a bit heavy-handed. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:04, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't really see anything wrong with large categories, perhaps create the sub-category but leave the master cat on the page? --Onion <talk> 04:17, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
(EC)OK. "Thousands"? (what happened to my life?) Why not have every article on politics be in cat:politics? Because the hundreds of articles in cat:politics make it useless to go through and find the one you're looking for. It seemed like subcatting was just common sense... I can't think of any reason to confuse readers by linking to a gigantic cat that could be accessed through the more relevant, more specific cats. And I thought I had tacit approval from yourself and Nx (and since I was allowed to keep doing it for days without anyone accosting me...)
But if you have an issue, we can discuss it. I'm done for the near future. Blue Talk 04:18, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
I mean, discuss it on the saloon bar, really. Most people are overwhelmed when someone makes hundreds of edits like that and so they glaze over. As I said, maybe no one will care or be bothered, but this is a major site navigation issue that others may want to have some input on. It took me days to figure out what you were doing, by the way. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:28, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay then. I'll start something in the saloon bar. Blue Talk 04:30, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm not saying your idea was wrong, just that the post-congratulations you might receive ideally would have been pre-congratulations ;) ħumanUser talk:Human 04:36, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
I... see? Yes, I see. Well, thanks. And as a quick and random aside, how does one attain the "Newt" usergroup? Not that I would usurp it, of course... Plotting.gif Blue Talk 04:42, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
I think a witch has to turn you into one, and not turn you back. I also think it's done server-side. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:52, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Those two processes are definitely not mutually exclusive. How else can we explain the "automagic barchives" in the saloon bar, then? Blue Talk 04:54, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey, what a coincidence, I found out how Human became a newt: Fun talk:Trent Toulouse#What are the chances -- Nx / talk 03:31, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes. And now that we have a "Ninja" usergroup, I think the karmic balance of the internet calls for a "pirate" usergroup. Dunno what it would do, though. Blue Talk 04:28, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
