I reckon 220 is blocked at /8 level. I am on 202.136 and am getting 403 errors all day, everyday. - π 05:52, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Here is a visualization of the list as off Apr 4, 2011 --larronsicut fur in nocte 14:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- Any idea about how many individual addresses this translates into? gnostic 14:56, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- Each item on the 403 list is 65536 IP addresses, so currently it's 14,942,208 IPs blocked - and I suspect that he did it on /8 blocks rather than /16, so the figure is MUCH higher. –SuspectedReplicant retire me 14:58, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- If each /8 range on that list is blocked, there are 69 of them (out of 256), which translates to 1,157,627,904. Over a quarter of the planet, and that doesn't include things like the multicast IP addresses that can't ever be assigned. Count those in and almost half the planet is blocked. –SuspectedReplicant retire me 15:01, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

SR, I too think that a lot of them are /8, but I know that some of them aren't, as sometimes I've found (say) 71.145.x.x and 71.167.x.x blocked, but have connected OK with 71.155.x.x. However when you look at the sheer number of /16 ranges that appear to be blocked, it's hard to imagine someone as lazy as the Assfly bothering with anything other than a /8. I'm working on some new scripts, and when as I gather more data I hope to be able to break each blocking in to /24, /20, /16 and /8. Even as I type this I'm thinking that more and more of them are /8, as we know Andy bragged about blocking various /8 ranges in conservaleaks, and I also know that after the last DoS attack, several sysops (including a member of the fab five) ended up seeing the infamous Forbidden! (additionally we couldn't be arsed setting up error handling on our server) message. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 19:51, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- You can add 78.105.x.x to the list too :) Looks like a /8 for that one too but it's relatively recent because I could definitely get it only a day or so ago. gnostic 21:58, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
