In order to give the impression that I am extremely popular I have decided to jump on the archiving bandwagon.
20:05, 11 January 2011 DeltaStar (Talk | contribs) blocked Aconite (Talk | contribs) with an expiry time of 31 seconds (account creation disabled) (Kendoll editing technique)[edit]
Sorry, what's a "Kendoll editing technique"? And how does a 31 second block help with it? Aconite (talk) 03:48, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
...Wait a moment, I just searched for it. Did you compare me to KDBUFFALO?! That idiot? The one that once claimed on Wikipedia that dinosaurs were real because of a Victorian newspaper which jokingly reprinted a French report of a Pterodactyl climbing out of a fossil? Aconite (talk) 03:53, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- I would guess that you made several minor edits to the same page in a short period of time, which is one of Ken's trademarks. We perform a lot of 3- and 30-second joke blocks around here, for some reason or other. ListenerXTalkerX 05:12, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- It's the fastest way to communicate a random point to someone. You can have entire conversations via the block system. Difficult to keep track of, but it's possible. narchist 15:44, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes indeed, you were seen to be editing a la the legend himself! The 31 second block was because this RW. The next one will be five years, followed by infinite. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 17:21, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

A question[edit]
Are you normally going around insulting people or did you feel so lonely and angry at the time that not everyone devotes their account creations to your asthetics? Just asking myself that question and thought you'd maybe able to understand my question. --Ullhateme (talk) 01:05, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- I am incredibly passionate about correct grammar. I apologise for my post being so aggressive and insulting, but stand by my sentiments. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 11:03, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well as they say "shit happens". Btw, I'm not a native speaker of this wonderful English language, so sorry if I make some mistakes here and there - I'm trying to get better but I have two other languages to learn, so yeah. And just for the convenience, what is grammatically incorrect about my username? Because I really don't see anything. --Ullhateme (talk) 13:01, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- If English isn't your mother tongue then that's fair enough. What is incorrect is that you've missed the apostrophe. (Ignoring of course that you have used a 'U' in place of 'you'. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 15:20, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- Uhm, actually both things weren't by accident but intended as such. The missing apostrophe was me not thinking it would work in a wiki system (don't ask me why I thought that and don't even bother why I didn't just try). In the case "U" instead of "you" - well it's the internet, not a college paper. --Ullhateme (talk) 23:03, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

How to go about something true but still unknown to science (like Einstein's theory)?[edit]
Hi DeltaStar, Greetings on Your Day!
- I also have a question. The one in the title of this section.
The creation of something from nothing is by definition "creationism". So a big part of contemporary cosmology is creationism since contemporary cosmologists allow the violation of principle of conservation of energy (proof on demand). The cosmologists also teach physics students that "in Einstein's relativity" energy is not conserved since the spacetime is curved. It happens at least in my university and in others too since science is pretty uniform throughout the world. It is called freedom of conscience (I think). I believe it is freedom going way too far but I cant't tell a physics professor how to teach his subject when he gets a $1,600,000 reward from The Templeton Foundation for the way he teaches. These are general remarks. Particular ones are that today I placed in RW two links to explanations of Einsteinian gravitation. One for poets who don't like math the other for mathematicians and physicists. It is my PhD project. The page with links has been been removed without giving any reason despite the rule is that anything decent enough may be published in RW. Could I at least learn the reason for removing this page? JimJast (talk) 22:08, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for the attempted insult.
- You are using a definition of creationism that only you use.
- I'm not an astrophysicist, I'm an electrician.
- Why not speak to the person who removed your info? (I'm off to beddy-byes now and can't even be bothered checking to see what you're on about).
- Peace. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 00:13, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Delta.
- Whatever it was I didn't mean it as an insult.
- My "Random House College Dictionary Revised Edition" (fom which I've been learning most of my English) defines creationism as the doctrine that God immediately creates out of nothing a new human soul for each individual born.
- I'm not an astrophysicist neither. I've been interested in gravitation for over 25 years (since I manged to prove with Einstein's physics that there is no global expansion of the universe) and then I found a few things that I'd like to present in RW for everyone interested. Accidentally they answer many astrophysical questions, as origin of gravitational (pseudo)force, and the reason for the illusion of Hubble redshift and its acceleration, etc. in much simpler way than they were answered before.
- I'm just going to write to him/her but since I'm an a guy with an Asperger syndrom I might not get to them. I hope that they tell me what they see wrong in my stuff on Einstein's gravitation that they call selfpromotion. JimJast (talk) 23:17, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- JimJast, see the deleted "article"'s talk-page for the reasons behind the delete. ListenerXTalkerX 04:07, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
If fucking GIMP doesn't work for you…[edit]
… how about Inkscape? --Ullhateme (talk) 22:54, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- A variable vector graphics application? I don't even know what that means, so I that will also be too annoying for me. I know GIMP is extremely powerful, and that's the problem - I want something shit and simple like MS paint, as all I want it for is to fanny around with Kowardjerk's toons. Thanks for the suggestion though, and good work with your toon! DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 22:59, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Which OS are you using? I use GIMP, and have pretty much gotten used to it's quirks. Pretty steep learning curve though, at least based on coming from a Photoshop background. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 23:02, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- For Karajou's comics, unless you are doing something extraordinarily fancy, you just need the "Paint" and "Text" tools in GIMP. ListenerXTalkerX 23:05, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm running Ubuntu, CR. Lx, I don't use any other tools, but GIMP seems to create a new fucking layer or somesuch OTT nonsense every time I do something, meaning I can't then do anything to anything else - it's really fucking annoying! God damn you Kowardjerk! DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 23:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Are you talking about the "floating" layer you get when you cut-and-paste something? Or the text layer you get when you insert a text box? ListenerXTalkerX 23:11, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- You probably know what a vector, a graphic and an application is, so go figure (yes, it's that easy). Easy as Paint you say, well this isn't meant as an insult. These layers aren't that bad if you write something wrong or just got something better you can just delete the whole layer. --Ullhateme (talk) 23:15, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- If its a GIMP floating layer, you can "anchor" it (keep the change and make the extra layer go away) with a control-H. Steep learning curve for a while, aye. Took me months to get easy with it, and I call myself a quick study with things like this. Moving things around still bites me sometimes.
- Not sure I'd choose Inkscape for something like this. Convince me? Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 23:19, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Inkscape is not good for editing raster graphics. ListenerXTalkerX 23:21, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, the layer thing is fiddly. If you're having trouble going back to edit text then try hiding all other layers by clicking the "eye" icons in the layers palette. This makes it easier to select your existing text without accidentally creating another layer on top of it. There are a couple of things that could be going wrong. GIMP has a nasty habit of losing its windows, in that it spawns far too many windows that easily end up hidden behind others. Maybe this is happening? Alternatively if you're using a graphics tablet, and have configured GIMP to use it - you may find that regular mouse control becomes a bit strange. Mine is configured for my tablet, so when I use my mouse to add text, the window pops up for text entry, and a layer is added, but the text never appears in the actual image. - Well, I have used GIMP for now but I've allready edited raster graphics with Inkscape and I don't think it's that hard. Import the raster graphic → set the pixel size of the page to the same of the image → put white boxes over the cartoon where you want to write in → write in (choose text, font and size) → save as svg if you want → export as raster graphic. If you're new to Inkscape it takes a while to find all the buttons and controls but through years and years of icon making I've gotten pretty fast so I might be wrong anyway.. --Ullhateme (talk) 23:47, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks y'all for the suggestions. I tried TuxPaint, "a painting program for children", which seemed perfect; except it wouldn't import a picture file (instead opened a blank canvass of whatever colour was in the top right), then wouldn't exit, then took 100% of my CPU after I killed it - so I'll try mtPaint now. Armond, can you get Photoshop for Linux? OU, I here you buddy, MS paint is shit, but it's perfect for shit things. In fact I think it's the best programme currently available from MS. DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 05:55, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- The Windows 7 version of paint has had some considerable upgrades. Which I originally thought was utter blasphemy, as Paint is supposed to be shit, but it's pretty good. Aliasing, vector based shapes. No layers though. You should be able to run PS on Linux using WINE (it's not an emulator, dontcha know). You can also see how Muro works out for you (although now I've just checked it there's no way to import a file, which is friggin stupid). narchist 20:21, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
