Math not working?[edit]
I cannot get this to work:
Any ideas? Heart♥Gold tx 01:55, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
- You're right, it's "broken". I think LateK might not be installed? Try bugging
tootlemouseTmtoulouse about it. Where were you trying to use "maths"? humanbe in 02:07, 25 May 2007 (CDT)- I was going to add a noncontroversial article, just for fun. Heart♥Gold tx 02:09, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
- Haha, as long as you're having fun! Suggestion: write it, and use the <math> functionality even though it doesn't work because 1) that will goad the backend people to install it and 2) most of the people on this site read Geek anyway. That new sig is Sweeeeeet, by the way. humanbe in 02:22, 25 May 2007 (CDT)

- Okay! I'll install it! Shut up! :) ----Linus(plot evil tech) 18:23, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Sorry for harping on the math thing over and over and over and at every opportunity. My success with my sundry attempts to attract support for my immediate sysopship has inspired me. Heart♥Gold tx 18:25, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- My internet connection is so slow… actually, I don't know if the server supports math, I'll check. --18:37, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
You're an enemy of CP?[edit]
See here. How weird.-AmesG 19:33, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Of course, it is a private source...sounds a bit gossipy to me. See also. Heart♥Gold tx 01:14, 27 May 2007
What's up C-dub's ass these days anyhow? He went batshit on Wikinterpreter over the Isaiah thing. --Kels 20:33, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Well, it looks like TK somewhat defended me here. Also, not sure what this means. This addition might be misinterpretted, too. In any event, the best chance CP has for success is Andy's own words: God willing. Book of James. (This frame of mind is also recommended in the Koran, from what I understand). Heart♥Gold tx 20:36, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- What is C-dub? Heart♥Gold tx 20:36, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Oh, just an off-the-cuff nickname for Conservative. --Kels 20:37, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Maybe you should ask him? At first blush, I would guess your bet would win money. Heart♥Gold tx 22:24, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Wow. Did you see this? Amazing. Thanks for flushing this, jtl. Heart♥Gold tx 22:23, 27 May 2007 (CDT)
- LOL, TK is more concerned about speculations (which I don't recall) tarnishing his reputation than RobS's surreptitious intimations (now admitted) whispered in the ears of others. Boggles the mind. Heart♥Gold tx 00:35, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
Re:Sig[edit]
You're right, I could change it, but I like the external link symbol. Oh, and I hoped you enjoyed 24. Which series?--ύικι ντερπρετηρ woo!
- Thanks, we just bought season 1 on DVD. We don't watch much television, so we probably missed most of the episodes that have been broadcast. Heart♥Gold tx 23:09, 27 May 2007 (CDT)
Does Soros fund this site?[edit]
Does George Soros fund this site? Follow the money...:) Heart♥Gold tx 00:56, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- No, I think William F. Buckley, Jr. does. humanbe in 01:14, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Didn't Al Gore buy it out? --Kels 07:51, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Buckley--not credible. Al Gore is not really a contender either (not enough evironmental armageddan prophesys of doom). Gore Vidal maybe, but George Soros or Michael Moore would be the most believable. Heart♥Gold tx 09:48, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Funny, I always thought Buckley was fairly credible. But anyway, on the same note but dealing with the world of facts, I have a "footnote" here somewhere where the issue of finances came up on ashfly's talk page. He was babbling about WP being a tool of
SatanGoogle and it's goal being a for-profit thing "tba". He then constrasted that with CP being "not for profit" or "non profit" (funny, for a dot com). So I asked him what the financial model was, how it was going to afford getting a lot bigger, etc. There was no answer for a day or two and then he archived his talk page (as he must, it grows fast). But, no answer... humanbe in 12:00, 29 May 2007 (CDT)- Colin funds it, actually… ----Linus(plot evil tech) 12:05, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- I've debunked his "for-profit WP" idea before, as well… ----Linus(plot evil tech) 12:06, 29 May 2007 (CDT)

Pssst, you didn't hear this from me, but 48% of our funds come from one of our daughter companies selling North-Korean weapons to Syria and Iran. MiddleMan
- "Funny, I always thought Buckley was fairly credible." I thought Buckley unleashing on Vidal was funny. Buckley is usually credible, but of course I was talking about the credibility of Buckley funding this site. Heart♥Gold tx 13:52, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
Debate topics[edit]
The "debate:" namespace appears to exist, how would you feel about moving the vaccine debate you started over there? Likewise, I just yakked in on the one you started with GL about nuking Japan, that would be a another good one. And the FDR/New Deal one you were having with pretty much just him.
In the deabte space (once people find it), at least everyone feels comfortable chiming in, on user talk pages it's a bit different.
Just looking for some input on your part here. Perhaps we should/could just restart them there, and copy/paste whatever we feel we want in that space from the talk pages? humanbe in 18:40, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Let's not move the vaccine debate there. I never wanted to encourage others not to vaccinate, and I do believe (whether or not liberals on this board agree) that my arguments are persuasive. I have consciously chosen to decline certain vaccines for my children, and postpone others, but I am doing so in a very responsible manner, and am vigilent about accessing outbreaks nearby, as well as gaining the support and vigelence of medical professionals. My solution is not scalable. Heart♥Gold tx 21:09, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
A very reasonable statement/--PalMD-yada yada 21:16, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Agreed, very much so, and as I implied, these "talk page" debates were not participated in as if they were "fully public". Hmm, "not scalable" - that means it fails the categorical imperative, right? Still, I think you could present your decisions on various particular vaccines and why or why not you chose to avail yourself (your children, I guess) of them at some point, in a way that does not actively discourage vaccination in general. Whether RW is the place to do that or not, I'm not sure. Wait, yes I am. It is the place, since vaccination is one of those things that some people blindly accept and others blindly reject in toto, making it exactly the sort of thing this site was set up for. Probably a better article than debate, though. humanbe in 21:36, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- As for the bombing, I don't mind the move. Heart♥Gold tx 21:15, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Can you check with GL, and if he's ok with it, move/copy it? Then the 3 of us can start by editing what we said so it is more coherent, and open it up. humanbe in 21:36, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
- Thanks PMD. And Human. I put notices on GL's page, as well as started a debate page here. Heart♥Gold tx 22:45, 29 May 2007 (CDT)

your image[edit]
See how you feel about this version: User:Human/sandbox2. If you approve, just go change the image filename by adding a "2" after your filename. And of course the "pipe" right thing. I think it still has the lulz, but lets the text flow better and stay readable. humanbe in 23:43, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
- Noticed your sandbox, and liked your image...already changed. Thanks. What is lulz? Heart♥Gold tx 23:44, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
- Great, thanks. I can delete that stuff now. Lulz is like LOL (laughing out loud) translated through a few cycles of geeks and assorted rowdies. It tends to refer to ongoing content more than LOL which is a bit more transitory. Also see: Encyclopedia Dramatica humanbe in 23:59, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
- Hope you don't mind, but I improved your improvment again. I hope you enjoy it. Heart♥Gold tx 00:03, 31 May 2007 (CDT)

By the way, this should be a debate topic, not an "Essay". You didn't write an essay, you wrote a question and a one word answer. Ditto the one that, I think, GL wrote that is similar. Not playing sysop police here, just seems to make sense, since all the content is on the talk page. By the way, shall I wield my mighty sysop powers and delete the two earlier (yours and mine) versions of that picture? If no one is using them, that is? humanbe in 00:34, 31 May 2007 (CDT) My essay said everthing that needed to be said. Seriously. Heart♥Gold tx 07:26, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
