Ted Stevens could use some help. Please research the article's assertions. Whatever is credible should be sourced, and what is not should be removed.

And again, the Internet is not something that you just dump something on; it's not a big truck. It's, it's a series of tubes!
—Ted Stevens

Ted Stevens was a Republican member of the U.S. Senate from Alaska who lost his seat after being convicted and afterward exonerated of corruption charges.[1] Ironically, this was due to prosecutorial misconduct.

He also went on the record as being pro-torture, and threatened to campaign against any Senator who voted against his "Bridge to Nowhere."

That old meme

Stevens was also famous for his description of the Internet as "a series of tubes" along with other laughably obtuse statements about how the Internet works.[2]

It wasn't a big truck

Stevens was killed in a plane crash on August 10, 2010.[3]
